Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Every cigar looks like it had been wet at one point was my first impression straight out of the box. Upon further inspection i found significant cracking to the head of the 1964 torpedo and imperial, along with the 4000. The 6000 is cracked 1/3 of the way up the foot and the 1926 no 2 looked like it had gotten crushed and especially soaked, once i tried to inspect under the band i lost the majority of the wrapper around it, all in all i paid 154 + shipping for 3 padrons, my favorite cigar but this is beyond disappointing

I'm really enjoying this less expensive Padron series. I have tried the 2000 and the 7000; they are all well-made cigars. They don't overpower the palate but to my mind are full enough to enjoy. I've had two of these so far, and they are just a touch raw, but I'm giving them the benefit of the drought as I think they will settle in in a few days. All the elements are there for a stupendous smoke.

Flavor is just as good as any other Padron but the filler is highlighted more due to the ring gauge. I don't smoke this vitola regularly, but it's nice to have on hand for that big gauge experience. They do gain a lot of strength in the last couple inches, forcing me to end the session a bit earlier than I would like. Would recommend to any fans of Padron and gordos, but if you're a lightweight like me, maybe stick to the other vitolas!

This is my least favorite padron. I much prefer the maduro and it packs a walloping flavor and quite a strength. That said, construction was excellent and it's a perfect cigar to pair with espresso or any srong burbon (suggest wild turkey 101??). Also it's different and unique. So ... yeah I absolutely keep a few in my stash.

For the money the Padron classic series is imo the best go to cigar. I prefer the maduro wrapper but the natural is also fantastic. Very chocolatey rich flavors on this maduro. Some $20+ sticks dont taste, burn or draw this good!

Loved smoking this cigar. I always smoke the Aniversarios and neglect the regular Padron series. I bought a few of these and will get a box next time at Neptune’s. The cigar was very smooth with a nice open draw. You have to be careful when you cut it because it only has one cap. The flavors were very balanced and creamy. There was cocoa, coffee, cedar, and leather.

Lit easily. Stellar draw, good smoke output. Razor sharp burn. First draw was slightly bitter. Cocoa powder, earthiness hit of pepper first third. Second third picked up richness. Second third had the chocolate mellow and smoothed out. Dulce notes, almost like a smore. Final third hit more like the first. Punchier, drier, toastier, more charred. Not my favorite Padron. Still, it's got the quality and characteristics of its namesake.

Really nice cigar...perfect burn and construction. Really nice smooth, earthy flavor with a good amount of pepper on the retro. The only problem with this cigar in my mind is that the maduro version has a slightly better flavor profile. There is a dark chocolate note in the maduro that this one lacks, but the natural definitely has more spice in my opinion.

Very solid cigar. Flawlessly constructed, and the presentation is phenomenal. Before you even light it, you can just feel you're about to enjoy a unique smoking experience. The cigar itself lit easily, and it was a nice consistent burn. Have yet to try the medium blend, but this mild cigar is a nice smooth, can't-go-wrong cigar.

A very good smoke. Nice oily wrapper. I used a puncher 7 mm. The cigar was tightly rolled, almost too hard, but it did not affect the draw which was perfect. A good medium smoke, that I smoked to the last inch, before it became a little bitter. It burned razor sharp, and no correction was needed with the lighter. 1 1/4 hour smoke. Will definitely stock up on these babies.

I am a fairly new cigar aficionado, but this cigar has already become one of my favorites. Mild without being tasteless, with an excellent aroma.
