Aging Room Quattro F55 has been blended by Jochy Blanco of Tabacalera La Palma in the Dominican Republic and distributed by brand owner Rafael Nodal of Boutique Blends Cigars. The Aging Room Quattro's most unique characteristic comes from its Sumatra seed wrapper leaf grown in Indonesia. These wrapper leaves had been aging in a tobacco warehouse for many years as no one knew what to do with them. Thankfully for us, the Aging Room visionaries knew. They have created a balanced, elegant smoke that has earned the greatest accolades of the industry in 2013, earning that coveted #2 spot in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 countdown of the year.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
The Sumatra cigar wrapper is a dark leaf from the "black tobacco" sub-species family. It was first planted in the western Indonesian island of Sumatra by a Dutch explorer in the 1500s. Sumatra-seed tobacco is being cultivated in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Ecuador, and Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

NeptuneCigar.com They are still rolling this cigar in 2015 however the tobacco they use for this blend won't last much longer so it is being replaced by the F59.

The construction of these cigars was very disappointing. The wrappers were loose and fell apart easily, and there was too much crumbling around the cut. A lot of the cigars basically fell apart during the smoke and I will not order this brand again

Maybe I got a bum one but this was so loose even for box pressed. Super soft and spongy (RH 64%). The draw was way too light. This one was so loosely rolled it was unpleasant and difficult. I like the other Quattros I’ve tried but will stay away from these ones.

This thing is a SMOKE MONSTER. A looser than average roll produces volumes of smoke that tastes of coffee and bay leaves. The loose roll is no problem however, the stick lights and burns evenly from toe to head. The unconventional wrapper is a welcome change of pace. From start to finish, a keeper all the way. Definitely worth the price of admission.

This is one of my favorites, creamy coffee/espresso in a medium to full body. The box press construction and wrapper make for an excellent looking cigar. This is about an hour and half smoke so give yourself some time to enjoy it. Tastes like a cigar that is much more expensive then it’s actual price.

Wasn’t too sure what to expect from this cigar given its hype and the No.2 rating from CA a few years back. After smoking two Churchill’s, one things for certain, I LOVE this gar! It’s smooth and silky, a hint of sweetness with spicy notes: for some reason it reminds me of cinnamon heart candy. My one negative about this stick: the ash doesn’t hold well and flakes off easily. Bottom line: this cigar is definitely box worthy and I regret not pulling the trigger earlier. A winner.

I had bought a 5pk on a sampler deal from another supplier. Two out of those were great the other 3 so so - But I took a chance and figured a box from Neptune would be much fresher. Wow what a difference. This cigar has a world class draw, The burn is top notch and flavor outstanding. I am stocking a few hundred cigars and this is one of my definite keepers. Really can't say enough nice things about this cigar. Another way I know is I like to share cigars and invite people over to smoke them and this is definitely one of the guest favorites.

Ok smoke. Can’t see why it won such a placing. Not the greatest looking but still nice construction. Burnt great. I found it be a very mellow and creamy smoke from the offset but not full bodied. Flavours only ramped up near the last third with a little pepper kicked in but not overly aromatic. Nice amount of smoke. More like an every day smoke.

My experience was the same as Steve B. There was an astringent taste throughout the cigar. It was briefly interrupted by a nice bread, nutty flavor, but mostly a salty peanut, short, dry, astringent taste. I felt perhaps it was an off example, but the experience by Steve B. makes me think it's not an exception. The construction was very good. A very nice loose draw. No issues with the burn. Just a disappointment given the high review. And, it's a long cigar with a long smoke time. Too long unfortunately for the lackluster experience.

Very enjoyable medium to medium-full stick. Just perfect draw throughout. Due to operator error only the initial light was poor but this beauty self-corrected to a very clean, even burn. Excellent burn all the way to the label and beyond. Very smooth layered flavor comes through plentiful smoke. Lots to like about this.

I've never been able to distinguish the flavors (nutmeg, coffee, etc.) attributed to cigars. I'm more a smooth to harsh flavor and mild to strong strength guy. I found this smoke to be smooth and medium, which works for me. I'll be ordering them again.

As a nightly high end cigar smoker this is one of my favorite smokes. These are medium up front and finish really spicy toward the end. They are not a tight rolled cigar and are usually run little bit on the dry end when I receive them so they need to stay in a 70 humidor for a few days before you smoke them.

Unfortunately this cigar will go away eventually, which is why I bought a box and will probably end up with more as I don't particularly care for the F59, profile is different. The F55 has a very nice peppery taste throughout the duration of the smoke, that doesn't come off as intense but as a smooth spice, which I love that flavor profile. The pepper calms a bit as you get into the middle 1/3rd but is noticeable throughout the duration, with it picking up again as you get towards the band. The pepper is offset by a great coffee/espresso taste that I equate more to a nice cup of black coffee with a shot of cream as a chaser. The construction is solid, nice sheen to the wrapper in the singles I have received as well as those in the box. Lights up easy, always a smooth draw with a nice solid ash. However, the cigars themselves for me they have always been a quicker smoke than other Churchill sized cigars in my collection. The ash sticks like glue until you decide to ash it. Would highly recommend, though I find the 95 rating a bit "high" compared to comparable cigars, but it is a solid high 80's/low 90's rated cigar in my opinion.

I had high expectations for the cigar, unfortunately it fell short. I bought several singles to try this year's most vaunted cigars. The construction is wonderful, with a nice dark chocolate wrapper. Upon lighting, and first puff, the aroma and flavor fell flat. It smelled and tasted like a big cigarette. I could only go through the first few puffs. I lit a reliable My Father after snubbing this one out, and of course, was pleased. The 4 that I still have will sit in my humidor at 67% for a while in the hopes that they will relax.

An excellent cigar! Only the day before, I had tried one of Drew Estate’s new Nirvana cigars, and I couldn’t help but notice similarities with the Quattro, though of different origin and tobaccos. The Nirvana has a sweeter flavor, as a result of its Cameroon wrapper, but both have the leather, pepper and creamy flavor otherwise. This box press Quattro is in the same league, though less expensive. Well crafted. Slow burn, nice aroma. Mellows as it burns. I think I could fall for this in a larger size so I could enjoy it even longer.

A full but easy to smoke Robusto, not intended for beginners. It starts with a slight acidity, which quickly disappears, giving way to a very creamy cigar with a sweet background, spiced up by vegetal and mineral flavors. All this is topped by a very pleasant aroma, sweet, woody and with a hint of leather. The fact that it is made with Dominican filler and binder is just a sign of how are Dominican cigars addressing the Nicaraguan threat. The only "but" to this cigar could be its Sumatra wrapper…

Third time's a charm. The first two I had ever smoked were both faulty in burn and draw. This third one is beautiful. I have 7 more to smoke and hopefully the first two were strictly bad luck. Complex flavours that change from beginning to end, starting off great and ending fantastic. Very peppery and creamy at the same time. I did have to pay close attention to keep it from going out, but it was worth it. Very enjoyable smoke.

This is a bold cigar with a lot of spice! Couldn't smoke the longer version, Espressivo was enough.

Second one not much better than the first one as far as burn and draw. Had a pinhole in it and the draw was very difficult until I got past it. Had to relight the cigar several times as was the case on the first one. It looks and tastes fantastic, but I am very disappointed in it's draw and burn.

Had to relight this one after the first five minutes. Re-lit it and drew every 20 seconds on average and it went out again. This happened three more times before I discarded it. Flavour and aroma were fantastic. Couldn't enjoy it.

I read lots of reviews here and was pretty sure to find the definitive stick for my evenings, also with the amazing Cigar Aficionado rating. Nonetheless, I have to say that this cigar went not beyond my expectations, revealing itself as an average cigar to be smoked when you have nothing else in your humidor. Too bad I bought a box instead of a bunch of them

Great looking cigar, nice draw, very Smokey. took about 1:15 to finish. good to the end. Dark roasted coffee taste some sweet cedar. I recommend it.

I had very high expectations for this cigar, and it was every bit as good as a Padron 1926 for 1/3 the price. It started out good--with a dry dark chocolate if unexciting beginning. On the second-half burn, however, it came to life with creaminess and body. A great cigar for the money.

I've tasted many highly rated smokes, and without question, hands down the best smoke I've had has been this Aging Room. The taste was amazing and just kept getting better. Latter smoking one and then finding myself comparing all other cigars to this I decided to buy a box. I can't wait to smoke another. You will not be disappointed in this Cigar for sure!!!
