The original Family Series was the first line of cigars produced by La Palina Cigars after the company was re-launched in 2010. Inventory of the original line dwindled as demand for them grew, and eventually the source tobaccos became unavailable. Bill Paley decided to move production of the line to Miami and start the re-blending process at El Titan de Bronze. After well over a year, a gorgeous Ecuadorian Corojo 98 was selected to showcase this super-premium cigar. The La Palina Family Series Miami, which also features an Ecuadorian Habano binder and meticulously selected Nicaraguan filler, is prepared only by elite teams of category 9 rollers. Perfectly balanced, expertly crafted, and handsomely presented, the La Palina Family Series Miami is an exceptional expression of the Paley legacy.

Goldie was the wife of Sam Paley, who founded La Palina in 1896. La Palina Goldie collection was released in 2012 to celebrate the women in the cigar industry. Until 2016, each Goldie cigar was rolled by Maria Sierra, one of the first women trained to roll cigars in Cuba since 1967. She finished each cigar in the traditional Laguito style with a fan cap (El Laguito is the Cuban factory that makes Cohiba). Ms. Sierra no longer rolls these cigars but they are still carefully handrolled by one dedicated roller. The Goldie is blended with prized Medio Tiempo leaf, found on only 10% of tobacco plants. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano, binder from Ecuador and filler from Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Only 2500 numbered boxes of 10 are made.

There is a big difference between a cigar being full-flavored and full-bodied, and La Palina's Red Label wants to make that clear. Featuring a silky Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Ecuadorian binder and premium Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, the Red Label begins somewhat mild, and builds up to a solid medium-body that lasts the rest of the smoke. While it won't knock you out with power, you will be floored by the impressive complexity this rich and creamy blend brings to your palate, forever squashing the belief that only strong cigars can provide strong flavor.

Cigar Origin
Honduras
Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.
