My Father The Judge is an extension of the celebrated My Father brand featuring richer, more full bodied tobaccos than the original line. The added strength comes from the addition of Corojo binder and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado maduro wrapper is milk chocolate brown.

Ecuadorian Sumatra-Seed
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Their Miami headquarters house 12 rollers that make all of the company's "handmade in Miami" brands.

I think my expectations were perhaps too high and I ended up being a tad disappointed by the Judge... Few things to say, I cannot in any way understand why this is considered full bodied cigar, in comparison with La Opulencia, Le Bijou and the Original this is medium at best. Secondly the flavor profile is dull. There is a hint of spice, hint of oily earthiness at the beginning but the longer you smoke it, the more it tastes like food that is desperately wanting for seasoning. Aroma also not a bit bland.. From a construction point of view this is a masterpiece, the stick is firm, draw was a little stiff at the beginning but after an inch or so it started going well and burn was even throughout. I will try again but this might just not be one for me.

Just smoked this cigar for the first time. Draw was good and general construction was good outside of some burn line issues that required touch up. The flavor profile was mainly a dry cocoa power (chocolate ) taste, with some pepper on the front half. Second half kept the dry cocao taste and had some woodiness. Overall a good but not great cigar.

Perfection rolled into a Gorgeous Cigar. Veinless habano rosado wrapper that is immaculate. Solid, you can feel the expertise rolled on this seamless Cigar. Draw is Amazing, the standard for everyone to follow. Was so excited to smoke this beauty that I did not even do a cold draw. Once lit, a mouthful of spicy smoke greets you. Burn was razor sharp, with ash holding for 2 inches under windy conditions. After a 1st/3rd dominated by spice, there a smooth transition giving way to tasty tobacco with a mild earthy walnut flavor. Mild flavored but full strength without being overpowering, just perfect. Smoke volume is also Perfect, one puff gives you a mouthful of smoth earthy goodness. Last 3rd gets a bit darker, with tobacco balanced with a little spice. Aged a week short of 4 months. I truly enjoyed this Cigar.

All Rise... My Father Cigars has introduced The Judge. This great Nicaraguan cigar has an Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo binder, and Nicaraguan filler. This combination gives the cigar a nice medium to medium-full body and powerful taste. At first light, you are introduced to a nice medium tobacco flavor. Hints of pepper are introduced along with some hints of oak and cedar. The pepper is not an overwhelming amount, just enough to entice the palate. At halfway through the cigar, a nice hint of spice is introduced. Again, not overwhelming. It compliments the flavors that you are enjoying from the first part of the cigar. As we approach the end of the cigar, the spice diminishes a little. You will still taste it, but not as much as before. All the other flavors are still there, while the strength does pick up a little. This is a great cigar for those who enjoy a good medium to medium-full body smoke. Try it. I am sure you will like it!

This is an okay cigar; one of my least favorite My Fathers. Very mild flavor, pretty good burn, excellent smoke production. However, you're better off with a different My Father.

I've been eager to smoke this one for a long, long time. After months of being asked for it by numerous customers, The Judge has finally arrived at Neptune, and I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. If you're already a fan of My Father cigars, then you know a little bit of what to expect: a perfectly harmonious marriage of spice and cream, with a delectably sharp yet smooth aroma. Right from the start, notes of almond and pepper flooded my palate, while hints of leather and fig swirled around throughout. The solid box-pressed construction offered a strong ash and an even burn. No re-lights needed. I would classify this cigar as medium to full-bodied in strength, however, it is definitely full in flavor. Pair it with some nice scotch! Another terrific offering from My Father. BONUS: Also available in a cool 5 x 60 vitola for those who prefer fatter stogies.
