Christian Eiroa has been in the cigar industry for a quarter of a century, and in this not so long amount of time, he has become known for building a portfolio of memorable sticks. To celebrate, he created the CLE 25th Anniversary premium cigar. It is a Honduran puro that is composed of the sought-after Authentic Corojo tobacco. This medium bodied commemorative cigar is hand crafted at Christian’s CLE Cigar Company factory.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

I've always wanted to try this cigar. It's a rare stick to find. When Neptune alerted me it was in stock, I jumped on it. I was not disappointed. This cigar has multiple layers of dark chocolate, cocoa and spice with an even burn and smooth finish. Just a beautiful cigar worthy of being in my humidor

Received 1 CLE CONNECTICUT with an Asylum sampler and threw it in the humidor and forgot about it. Connecticuts are usually too mild, the hay an earth usually don't appeal to me but when I finally smoked this stick, I lt was not like any I've had before. 1st off,, the construction is top notch,, the transitions in flavors had my attention all the way to the nub. Nutty cashew, salted buttery creamy notes of light charred wood with a touch of honey lingered. Very slight pinch of spice. The draw is open and airy which allowed for a razor sharp burn with slow and even inhales. I think this would be a great alternative for a cuban fix. Im looking forward to sampling the rest.

The flavors were strong and seemed to really leap out. The down side was it didn't lead to a good balance. It is a good smoke, and maybe worth having a few on hand, but I would grab an Eiroa Jamastran or First 20 Years for a better representation of Eiroa's premium work.

I’m a big fan of most things Eiroa, and the CLE 25th may be his best to date. I’ve smoked the Toro, Robusto, and 11/18 sizes, and they’re all great, but the 11/18 stands out as exceptional, the toro coming in at a close second. The smoke production and aroma you get from these cigars is off the charts. If you’re a fan of authentic corojo tobacco, this one is a no brained. Buy some. You won’t be disappointed.

This gorgeous 25th Anniversary CLE Robusto was such a fantastic way to end 2020 as hectic as it was. The “25th” is actually the number of years Christian Eiroa has been in the cigar industry so this is definitely another milestone cigar. Being a 100% Authentic Corojo from wrapper to filler, this really enticed me to try it. For starters I immediately had notes of pepper, oak and a strong aroma of cider added to the mix. Towards the middle, the pepper eventually died down and chocolate, coffee and oak took over. With a cider and earthy retro-hale, I would definitely say this is full on flavor and medium in strength. Now onto the last third, notes of chocolate and oak remain and becomes creamier. Temp does become a bit hot but definitely worth the smokey goodness. You can try this stick in 4 sizes including the TAA (11/18). So forget about last years problems and toast to new beginnings! Cheers!
