The Aladino Candela was crafted as an homage to Julio Eiroa (co-founder and co-owner of the JRE Tobacco Co). Julio was once considered the largest producer of the candela wrapper (aka double claro). It is combined with Eiroa’s own Corojo tobacco to produce a delectable smoking experience. The candela wrapper has a distinctive green hue. It gets its green color thanks to a flue-curing method, which exposes the leaves to high heat temperatures at a shorter time than the typical tobacco curing process.
