Named after the historic castle made famous from the popular British show Downton Abbey, the hand-made Highclere Castle cigar features an exquisite Connecticut-shade wrapper that envelopes a dark, rich Brazilian Mata Fina binder. The Highclere Castle’s filler is made from a special blend of criollo, corojo seed, and an exclusive hybrid seed the manufacturer calls Nicadán. The Highclere Castle is a mild- to medium-strength cigar that will be a welcomed addition to fans of Connecticut tobacco and creating some new converts.

Foundation cigars are for me a discovery. I tried them thanks to this pack. All cigars where great. I am not fond of full bodied strong cigars but the Gueguense Toro Huaco was super duper. The Charter Oak, the least expensive of the pack happens to be in my opinion the best cigar in this price range so I now got a whole box of them. The cigar cutter is a top quality cutter.

Cashed my smoke rings in on this for an Xmas present and it was excellent all around. I love the wise men the most but all were good stuff. The charter oak had a bit of a firm draw otherwise perfect marks. I like the cutter and pamphlet too.

My first Foundation cigars did not disappoint. This is how a sampler should be put together. Including a product guide should be a standard, and I hope more brands will do the same. The cutter, too, is beautiful and heavy duty. I haven’t used it because I don’t want to tarnish it, but trust me it’s sharp haha

Whether you’re a Foundation Cigars fan or have never tried them, this is the way to sample a few different samples of Nick Melillo’s amazing blends. He’s a master and I’m already a big fan. You get a great cutter which is my second Foundation cutter, as well as a product guide with a description of all his blends. Neptune rocks!
