La Flor Dominicana Oro line is, according to La Flor Dominicana owner Litto Gomez, a Coronado blend that uses a Nicaraguan Habano Sun Grown wrapper from the higher primings of the plant, resulting in a cigar that has more flavor and strength. The LFD's Oro binder and fillers are carefully grown in their Dominican Republic farm of La Canela. The wrapper is a deep medium brown, veiny leaf with a sweet aroma, and the cigar delivers a spicy punch in the first few puffs and mellows to a pleasant flavor and long finish.
Cigar Origin
Dominican Republic
Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.
