El Reloj

El Reloj (in Spanish, "the clock") cigar is named after J.C. Newman's cigar factory in Tampa where he started rolling cigars in 1954. The El Reloj factory with its famous four-sided clock built in 1910, was a focal point of the Ybor City, Tampa community in a time when most people did not own clocks or watches. In honor to this building that hosts the last operating cigar factory in Tampa, JC Newman has made this value priced cigar with quality fillers from Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras, wrapped in a rich Ecuador Havana Seed Sungrown wrapper.

This one is your basic go to the golf course and share with your mates cigar. As far as appearance, too many veins sticking out to suit me. Dry draw is easy, mellow taste and lighting is adequate. For the most part it burns evenly but the ash does not stay on past 1/4-1/2 inches. Now, I know this is not a premium $8 cigar but for $2.50-3.00 a stick they could at least put some taste in this long cigar. I have been smoking mine while writing this and the veins touching my lips do iritate me so I take a puff and remove it from my mouth.
