The Asylum Limited Edition series is an annual-release premium cigar that celebrates this sought-after brand’s anniversary. The Asylum brand is known for making big, hefty sticks that are as big in flavor as they are in size. The cigars are handmade at the CLE factory in Honduras.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Honduran cigar wrapper has the reputation of great quality, with wrapper leaf being grown in the Jamastran, Talanga and San Agustin valleys. Some of the wrappers being grown in Honduras include Corojo, Honduran Claro, Honduran Criollo, Honduran Jamastran Viso Rosado, Honduran San Agustin Havana Seed and San Agustin Ligero.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

Anonymous What size is the full box it looks huge and most likely too big for my winedor so could store it inside a coolador with Boveda packs or a cigar Oasis unit?

NeptuneCigar.com The full box measures 17"1/4 x 9"1/2 x 4", a little large to store the entire box in a humidor. It may work better if you place the individual coffins in the humidor for storate. Or, you can use a coolador with Boveda packs, that will also do the job!

Andre The 7 year limited edition 70/7 box is beautiful enough to be it's own humidor could it be?

NeptuneCigar.com You may be able to turn this into a humidor, however the inside lid is lined with a sort of paper material. This may pose an issue. The other issue would be the seal. To be able to create the humid environment needed, you would need to line the interior lid with something, maybe foam strips.

This is one of the best cigars I’ve ever had. Great flavor, burn, smoothness, all of which amazed me. Asylum has some of the best cigars on the market. If you like a long burning cigar, you need a good 3 to 4 hrs for this one.
