Tatuaje PJ 50th Anniversary cigar is a limited-edition release made to honor Pete Johnson's 50th birthday. Founder, blender, and creative force for Tatuaje Cigars, "Tattoo Pete" went from indie rock and roll to cigar "rock and royalty" over 30 years. Working collaboratively with cigar legend Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia from My Father Cigars, Pete has been a force in the industry. Responsible for taking Tatuaje to new heights in the boutique cigar world, he has made some amazing cigar lines like the Fausto, Halloween Monster Series, Avion, Seleccion de Cazador, and more. With just 5000 cigars of each vitola being made, this rare build is a must for any Tatuaje diehards or avid collectors.
Cigar Origin
Nicaragua
Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cabaiguan is a city in the Sancti Spíritus province of Cuba, which is home to tobacconists who are just as knowledgeable about cigars as they are passionate about making them. When Pete Johnson, founder of Tatuaje Cigars, created the Cabaiguan Guapos, he not only wanted to pay tribute to these skilled artisans and their city, he also wanted to create a true Cuban-style cigar. And, Johnson’s efforts paid off. The Cabaiguan Guapos Maduro features a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Full-bodied, the Cabaiguan Guapos Maduro is perfect for the experienced cigar aficionados or novices who want to expand their smoking experience.

Brought to you by Tatuaje founder Pete Johnson, the El Triunfador Broadleaf is a darker take on the now classic El Triunfador. Featuring a gorgeous, toothy USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that is both rustic yet elegant at the same time, this medium to full-bodied cigar contains premium Nicaraguan binder and filler to round out this bold blend. Notes of cocoa, coffee, leather and a perfect amount of spice can be found throughout the rich and complex smoke, and it's no coincidence that 'El Triunfador' translates to 'The Winner' - not only can that be said about the cigar, but you'll feel like one, too.

Released in 2006, Tatuaje Havana VI line of cigars are produced in traditional Havana style, including a triple cap. The blend is milder than the Tatuaje Miami because it uses volado leaf in the filler instead of ligero.
Strength
Wrapper Color
Colorado Maduro
Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado maduro wrapper is milk chocolate brown.
Wrapper
Ecuadorian Habano
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.
Binder
Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
Filler
Nicaragua
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Rolled by
Handmade
Handmade cigars are completely made by hand from start to finish.

For the wrapper of La Riqueza, they chose a Connecticut Broadleaf, and this selection is intriguing to say the least. More commonly used as a binder due to its rugged appearance, what this leaf lacks in aesthetics it more than makes up for in flavor. Natural sweetness mixed with subtle hints of pepper and cocoa are apparent from the initial light.
