The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

Mexican tobacco is primarily grown in the San Andres region due to its volcanic soil. It has a very distinctive flavor with a spicy and earthy profile. As a binder it adds to the cigar’s overall flavor.

Jay Verhaag I am a Conn. mild to medium gent; I do prefer 6x 54 toro. In your honest opinion, do you think I would enjoy this cigar? this "full" strength

NeptuneCigar.com Jay, in my humble opinion, the difference between "medium" and "full" often lies in the eye of the beholder. I would recommend trying one or two sticks before picking up a full box.

Got this one in the ghost sampler, not great. Amazing, even burn thru the end and smelled great too. But the taste was not there at all & the draw was a bit tight in both sticks that came in the pack.

I don't drink tequila with cigars, I prefer Scotch. But I find 1 definite similarity between the 2. 85% of tequila with fancy bottles or lables sucks Same can be said of cigars. This one was pretty bad. Only the appearance and burn were good. Taste was boring until it got harsh. just like bad tequila!

I've had Gurkha cigars but this one was terrible! I got an off putting taste from the wrapper and could barely find any note I liked! A candela cigar from AF had more then this. However, I will continue to try the brand.

Alright, this was a decent cigar. Not great, but not bad. The construction was impressive, very tightly rolled and dense feeling in the hand. From the light, the burn was consistent all the way through. The ash was really thick and dense. My only issue was the flavor, or lack thereof. Most Connecticut blends will give you some sort of creamy flavor, but this one was pretty bland.
