The Asylum 13 Pandemonium is a medium to full strength cigar that is handmade in Nicaragua. Its dark, oily Nicaraguan maduro wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. This Nicaraguan puro has a complexity of flavors that includes spice, wood, leather, pepper and cocoa. Pandemonium cigars are considered the strongest and boldest sticks in the Asylum 13 line. They are also known for their length and hefty ring gauge.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

A quite impressive size. Like actually all Asylums quite continuous flavour throughout the whole smoke. A bit agressive at the beginning but nice smooth after the first quarter till the end. Good bargain with an enjoyable long taste in the middle. Tends to fall off when you wipe the ash.

get ready to sit and chill put for some time like time out yes literally time out with this baby its a good cigar for a time out alone and just relax. the mix is outstanding with many and much white and dark pepper but bold cream. light it up and just relax. I recommend to the ones with time out type of individuals

I bought this cigar months ago and actually forgot about it until the other day when my humidor started dwindling down -- it was at the bottom. I got very excited as I have heard many good comments on this cigar and I had plenty of time to smoke it now!! The Asylum 13 Pandemonium is their boldest and strongest line to date--definitely my cup of tea! This is a Nicaraguan Puro made in three different ring guages but all 8 1/2 inches in length. Asylum is definitely known for their very large ring guage cigars, but this size in particular is exactly right for my taste--8 1/2 x 52. I was hoping the blend would be as inticing as the beauty and size of this cigar. Let's see........ Upon first light, a bit of pepper is upfront with some earthy notes. A little natural maduro sweetness starts to creep in as well. I was having a bit of a smoke output problem in the beginning, but that shortly worked its way out as the smoking progressed. Into the second third, changes start to occur. The cigar started off a little mild but changes into a medium to full body. It has a nice slow burn which I was expecting. Smoke output has become much better -- good draw, nice ash. Coffee notes are starting to pop up -- pepper has died down. So far this has been a very nice smoke. Into the final third, the cigar was smoking perfectly. The sweetness has disappeared as black coffee, cocoa and a very deep earthiness takes you to the finish. I will say, this cigar was not overly complex but balanced very nicely. I really enjoyed it -- be prepared for almost two hours of relaxing. The price is right as well -- cheers --enjoy!

Great addition to the line-up. Have tried the 60 and 70, both consistent, great draw. 70 x 8.5 is a great size for an evening kicking back. Similar taste profiles to 13 range, a little less strong imho, will be re-visiting this cigar on a regular basis.
