Since 2015, HVC founder and gifted cigar crafter Reinier Lorenzo has released the limited-edition HVC Black Friday cigar. The cigar was made to celebrate Black Friday, which marks the start of the frenzied holiday shopping season in the United States (and in other parts of the world). Each annual release uses a different blend and vitola and is issued as a limited edition.

Not the boldest smoke, and I found it necessary to wait up to two minutes in between puffs. However, once it settled in, there was a nice core of dark cocoa, wood, black pepper, and some orange peel on the retrohale.

Robust but smooth. Nice woodsy walnut flavors, creamy peanut butter flavor, an all around earthy smoke with great body yet smooth. Great smoke in a short time frame. Definitely worth the try! Thank you George for the recommendation!

I purchased 3. All 3 had cap issues when cut where the cap unraveled and made them unsmokable sadly. I tried straight cut (2 epic fails) and 1 v-cut which still resulted in a little unraveling of the cap. Although it was "smokeable" it required too much correction to be worth it. I saw the great reviews and would have liked the opportunity to get a better sense of the flavor as the size is perfect for a shorter smoke.

Another solid addition to the Black Friday series. HVC doesn't miss. It's very much a Reinier Lorenzo blend, if you like his work you'll like this, if not it may not be for you. Definitely worth trying a single still in my opinion.

Without further ado, I give you the HVC Black Friday Petit Gordo! Sounds like the perfect pair wouldn't you say? With a dimension of 5 by 56, this cigar is a great size to light up and enjoy while doing your bulk shopping here at Neptune during the holidays. After the first pull upon lighting, I was met with a very robust cedar flavor complemented by a gentle white pepper at the back of the palate, providing you a pleasant first act. Making my way into the mid point of this stick, a subtle transition is noticed from that woody profile found in the beginning to a bit of cocoa and leather being introduced into the background of your experience. You will definitely notice throughout the entire smoke session that you will be able to draw with ease as the construction and burn on this one is a 5 out of 5 for me! Man, who would've thought Black Friday would be this easy! For the grand finale, this smoke becomes a bit more subtle towards the end, giving off a smooth, toasty and nutty finish perfect for leading into the Christmas festivities!
