The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Sungrown cigar wrappers come from tobacco plants that are grown directly under the sun without the use of man made tents to give shade as in Shade grown wrappers. As opposed to the Shade grown plants, sun grown tobacco plants grown thicker leaves with thicker veins and darker color. Sungrown wrappers can be appreciated for their rich taste and sweet undertones.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
USA Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco is grown in the Connecticut River Valley area. The soil in this region is of glacial origins. The tobacco is dark, oily, flavorful, and aromatic. It is used primarily as a maduro wrapper, but it also serves as an excellent binder.

This purchase was a "plug the hole in the dike" idea, just something to limp along on while my Henry Clay Brevas are in hiding. These are perfectly acceptable golfing/gardening cigars, obviously far less expensive (and less quality) than a Partagas. The flavor does leave me wanting something with more power but I knew what I was getting when I ordered. Both these, and the Factory Throwouts, recall the old May Rosa cigars on NY's Broadway many years ago. Not top-of-the-line, but perfectly fine. They do NOT have the somewhat chalky aftertaste that is, to me, indicative of Central American (especially Honduran) tobacco. (Factory Throwouts do have that taste). Likely I will order a better box soon but these have filled the job nicely. Not great but they are inexpensive.

Of the 20 cigars forming the bundle, seven were well constructed, of really fine quality, providing a smooth and gentle smoke ideal for cigars of larger girth. Enjoyment of the rest, however, was impaired by the fact that the strips of tobacco forming the filler did not extend to the head of the cigars but stopped about one inch short with the space being filled with small, finely chopped pieces of tobacco. If, as I do, you grasp a cigar between your teeth, the result is that the wrapper disintegrates and one's mouth is constantly filled with those loose bits of tobacco. That said, the price of $49.95 is reasonable for the bundle as a whole, but the company should be advised that I myself would pay quite a bit more if the quality of all the cigars was uniformly the same as that of the seven that I have initially described. I would have given 5-star markings to all the characteristics if I had been commenting on those seven alone.

I’ve smoked hundreds of these and have enjoyed them. There have been only two or three that i had problems with. One had a metal wire about 2.5 inches imbedded halfway and a few others burned weirdly. Overall a great weekday smoke.

Very nice discovery, this cigar is very good value for money. Well rolled and built. The draw is good and burns perfectly. In terms of aromas and tastes, we are on scents typical of Nicaragua. The first third is sweet, the second leaves more cream and the last leaves out this coffee/chocolate aroma that we like to accompany with a good XO rum ! :)

I was somewhat skeptical of the reviews being a "value" cigar but, was pleasantly surprised. If you're on a budget or don't want to break the bank as a cigar smoker I would definitely recommend. Smoked one with friends the same night I received them (about a week of shipping) and my friends also enjoyed this cigar. Although I can't smell I gave 5 star for aroma based on comments from my friends.

Decent smoke. Not terribly complex, but very enjoyable from beginning to end. Draw is a little too tight for my preference or the robustos. Appearance/construction is good, but not perfect. It's a nice smoke, my everyday smoke. It's not a premium cigar but most smoke very well. Generally, draw is very good, but from a 20 pack, I'll usually get 3 or 4 that don't draw well. Those usually tunnel. If I can find, plug or burn past the leak,, the rest burns well.

Best cigar for the money, if you prefer larger cigars. Fairly mild, generally easy draw, although they may need a little poking now and then (I keep a 16d nail on my desk for this). If you are a wet cigar smoker (keep it in your mouth most of time) these do tend to unravel a bit, but all in all a very good value for a handmade smoke.

The large gauge version of one of my favourite daily smokes is a beast, the extra diameter from the robusto may be a factor in a slightly blander smoke than expected, but it may have been due to not resting long enough in the Humi. Occasionally have a rough stick in the bundle, but in the main well-made cigar at an economical price point. Looking forward to trying again after a couple of months.

These little puppies are the perfect "short" smoke, when time is limited, or you just want a few puffs. The price on these guys is everything -- and for a Quorum, they're tasty and satisfying. Watch out, however, and don't expect uniform quality as you would in more expensive cigars. One or two in that bundle will have defects, or the tip will crack if you use a punch or V cut. Quarum has also glued the ring to the cigar, so in one out of four, the wrapper will rip open if you remove the ring -- just don't remove it, and let that be the signal to put her out! I keep these in stock specifically for their price, and short, stocky build. Save your $5 cigars for leisure time ... keep these little guys for all the other times! :-)

It has been constructed very well. It is more than firm, more hard than firm, something I like in a cigar; there is no give to it, just how I like it. I don't like soft cigars. You need to work on the draw, because it is a tightly made one. It is a medium strength, but seems to me, more of a mild to medium cigar. I couldn't make out any standout flavours in this cigar, just an easy, smooth smoke, inoffensive smoke. There was a taste of something, light and perhaps a little floral, but I couldn't make it out. This is a good, everyday cigar, a light smoke. I am tempted to see if I can infuse these with vanilla, coffee or chocolate. They are not expensive and it would be an interesting experiment.

First time trying the Maduro wrapper, and I can safely say this stick can't be beat for the price! The wrapper is toothy and the construction is above what you pay for. Once lit, your greeted with a nice Coffee/chocolate and earth profile that stays consistent throughout the smoke. Draw is good, with minimal burn touch ups. And thanks to neptune, they arrive in perfect condition fresh and ready to enjoy!

I have been a cigar smoker for forty years now and prefer a mild to medium body cigar. I normally prefer Rocky Patel, Romeo's, Montecristo's and Macanudo's. When my buddy stumled upon the Quorum line, we were both shocked, especially with the Shade Torpedo, at how consistent, smooth and delicious this cigar is. It is now our go-to cigar. I would rank it as good as any of the brands I listed above and at a quarter of the price. It's the best find ever!

Let me start by saying for the price you won't find a better cigar. This is a great everyday cigar and it's a Nica puro. The overall appearance is a nice dark Nicaraguan wrapper with some visible veins and seams. As far as the flavors go the 1/3 has spice, cocoa, coffee. 2/3 still has the coffee and some leather coming in. 3/3 has leather and some nutmeg. Overall had a good consistent burn and a nice draw. This is a great size for a shorter smoke. The smoke output was really good. You'll love this cigar and Neptune is the only place you want to purchase these.

I purchased this cigar because of the low price; I wanted a daily smoke that would not cost an arm and a leg. After the purchase, though, I started having buyer’s remorse. Thoughts of “it does not matter how much money you save if the cigar tastes foul,” started haunting me. Well, my cigar delivery arrived yesterday, so I quickly opened the box and examined a cellophaned stick from one of the bundles. The cigar wrapper was uniform, well veined, and had a beautiful mocha color. As I carefully removed the cigar from the cellophane wrapper, the reward for my patience was a pleasing whiff of well-aged leather with hints of cocoa. After removing the cap, I lit the cigar and took in the first draw. I found the cigar to have an easy draw with an even and slow burn, but what took me by surprise was the flavor. My expectations were not high, and I was not anticipating the medium-bodied smokey flavors of spice and cocoa that greeted my mouth and lingered on my tongue. The initial flavors encountered on each draw were married to a pleasant cedar aftertaste that happily remained consistent in each draw through the first two-thirds of the cigar, but eventually transitioned into a spicier character in the last third. I cannot remember when I have experienced such a balance of flavors and construction in an inexpensive cigar. I enthusiastically recommend this cigar to someone looking for their first smoke, as well as, seasoned smokers.

Not a big fan of these. I was hoping to have them become a regular smoke, but after trying two of them I have changed my mind. The first one burned very unevenly. The wrapper fell off of the second one and the filler kept coming out with every draw. I smoked it for about 5 minutes and then tossed it.

The construction is decent. Some light seams and veins are visible. Here's what I got on the flavors: 1/3 a slight spice with hay and leather. 2/3 leather with a slight white pepper coming in. 3/3/ hay with earth and nuttiness. Burn was consistent and draw was good. It's a solid light/medium body. Great everyday smoke and Neptune is the only place to get these at such a great price point.

Let me start by saying for the price you won't find a better cigar. This is a great everyday cigar and it's a Nica puro. The overall appearance is a nice dark Nicaraguan wrapper with some visible veins and seams. As far as the flavors go the 1/3 has spice, cocoa, coffee. 2/3 still has the coffee and some leather coming in. 3/3 has leather and some nutmeg. Overall had a good consistent burn and a nice draw. The smoke output was really good. You'll love this cigar and Neptune is the only place you want to purchase these.

I purchase these as my daily smokes and is typically a cigar that I share with people who claims to like cigars, but for some reason, never buy them. And yes, there is a limit of one a year for those folks. Price is affordable. Out of a bundle, typically two are rolled too tight making them useless and these cigars are notorious for tunneling. I define tunneling as, the cigar is actually burning on the inside, but not the outside. After that happens, you have to cut off at least an inch and then relight the cigar. I know these are NOT premium cigars and therefore NOT the BEST quality, but they do serve good as a decent daily cheaper smoke!

For someone like me that smokes 2-3 cigars daily and is looking for a budget smoke that actually tastes good the Quorum maduros are hard to beat, especially at Neptune's price. I've tried a lot of $20 bundled cigars and most all of them have turned out to be dog rockets. For just $10 more I can get a bundled cigar that has a nice wrapper, with a good draw, an even burn, a nice aroma and good taste. That's hard to beat for a stick that's a $1.50 each and a Nicaraguan puro as well.

For the price you can't really argue that this is stick is good. The draw struggled through the first half then was fine. The aroma is honestly fantastic also the appearance and the structure is very good. The burn is OK. Had to relight it after leaving it for around 6 minutes. The taste is surprisingly excellent it reminds me of some high end premium cigars especially in the second half. I would rate this stick 10/10 if the overall performance was just like the second half of it. Yet it's worth a reorder for sure

That's right - upon cutting them, there was the ends of a couple of separate pieces of rope, protruding. After a couple of bad sticks, I started to film every time I would have one, and BINGO - I got it on camera! Pulling on the string like it was a worm out of the ground! Sickening! The ratings would be higher if it was a little more consistent, but on the whole I still really love this cigar. I've found that on the ones that are tightly packed - you can feel it when you handle them - the draw tends to be too tight and the flavors are light and a bit bitter with low smoke output. That said, however, they're very reasonably priced and I've only had that problem with a few of them. I can get over an hour out of these robustos and it's a very creamy, smooth flavor. Because they're so inexpensive it's easy to dismiss a few with a bad draw here and there or toss one away if something comes up and you're not done with it.

I have ordered these cigars before and they are a good cigar if you're not trying to impress anybody. If you want to impress someone, spend more money. This rating is primarily for Neptune. This bundle had been cut into by a boxcutter. Having worked in a grocery store in my younger days, I can honestly say I learned the hard way how easy that is to do when opening boxes with boxcutters. I would just ask that Neptune's handlers be more careful in the future. I have ordered 3 times from Neptune and I have been very impressed with their service and how fast they get their orders out. This is the only complaint I have ever had and I will certainly order from them again.

These are nice looking an well made short filler cigars. The draw is a little inconsistent...most of them are great but occasionally they get a hard spot and draw very tight. I've had one that was unsmokable. Burn is generally very good if you don't smoke it too fast. The aroma can be a little bitter or cheap smelling, and the taste the same on the cigars that draw too tightly. When the draw is good the flavors are smooth, sweet, and mild to medium. They're not very expensive and I like having them around.

For a budget smoke this is a good buy. The draw was a little rough on a few. The burn went crazy as well but evened out after one correction. It's a good smoke, especially if you're short on time and don't want to burn up $10 or $20.

Had to try this one. Very easy dry draw, not much flavor, maybe a licorice type, easy to light, most in bundle did not burn straight but was an easy fix, good knock around the yard or golf course type of cigar you could share with your buddies. I enjoy the Q maduro and classic corona as my everyday smoke, and this larger vitola does not disappoint. Solid construction as usual. Easy, smooth, and consistent draw and burn over the full 2 hr burn time with a pleasing but kind of generic earthy tobacco and mildly burnt sweet taste. It's the perfect "yard 'gar." Pleasing enough to puff on over an afternoon in your yard or garage, but not nuanced enough to feel like you're missing anything, and certainly not expensive enough to feel guilty having another or handing them out to your buds.

Good draw. Rock solid construction, as has been my experience w all Quorums. Flavors of earth, tobacco, rich with a peppery finish. Medium strength and body. Pretty consistent to the end where the pepper and spice is a bit more prominent. All around excellent value. I think I slightly prefer the Quorum maduro to the classic, but you really can't go wrong with this stick for this price as an everyday cigar.

Excellent construction, especially given the price. Even and consistent burn throughout. Good easy draw. Very muted aroma. Ample and slightly bitter but not unpleasant smoke with cedar wood and a little peanut shell taste that builds to the final third where some pepper and spice come out also. While I still prefer the Q classic and maduro over the shade, this is still an excellent smoke for its price.

I enjoy this brand and blend in the corona vitola as my everyday smoke, but I also really enjoy this larger toro when I've got more time for a back porch session. Good construction, smooth draw, and excellent smooth dark earth, tobacco, and chocolate flavors from this value-packed maduro. Pop the band off and tell your friends this a $7 stick. I doubt anyone would question it. This cigar smokes well above its price point.

This one has become my everyday smoke. I've had no real construction issues so far in the bundle I ordered, save for a couple cases of small areas of peeling wrapper and a hole or two. In spite of that, the draw is excellent with my punch and cutter too. Burn is consistent and easy to maintain. Very nice rich but smooth maduro flavors of earth and subtle dark chocolate. Medium bodied with plenty of smoke and a subdued but noticeable strength. I enjoy this blend in toro and churchill vitolas too. Smokes more like a $5 stick than a $2 stick. Would highly recommend to the budget-conscious mid-strength maduro smoker.

I had the Quorum light-wrapper Churchill and thought I would give the Maduro a try. It is a good budget smoke, a step up from some less expensive brands. I would say it is a medium-body smoke, which is what I was looking for. Gives you a solid hour + smoke, good draw and burn but a bit of flakiness in the ash. A solid everyday smoke for me, not something I would necessarily offer to guests who appreciate premium cigars. Will definitely buy these again.

I am going to be truthful and tell you that I purchased this bundle primarily to help fill my humidor as the price for 20 was by far the best I could find anywhere and my experience with Neptune has been just amazing. I received these on Saturday which was 2 days earlier than expected and quickly put in my humidor. After finishing a long work weekend I decided to fire one of these up last evening while preparing and grilling dinner. The construction and appearance of this cigar was really quite good in fact was better than some of the more expensive known brands that I currently have in my humidor. I love larger ring size cigars and this one didn't disappoint except that the taste was a bit bland to me. It burned very well, draw was nice, the aroma of the cigar far exceeded my expectations for a cigar of this price. I typically smoke milder cigars but this one really didn't have a lot of flavor profiles to me. I will still enjoy it and at the price I won't feel bad if I only smoke a third of it. I would happily recommend and would gladly give to my friends to enjoy. Great deal IMHO and again I have to say thank you to Neptune , you and your team have really impressed me with your entire operation. thanks

The only benefit to this cigar is that it is cheap. However, I found the draw to be less than satisfactory on most of the cigars in the bundle I received. Because of this the burn and the taste was unsatisfactory. Sorry I would not recommend these to anyone.

Very mild smoke. Quite nice on a Sunday morning. The burn is a bit uneven, but not irritatingly so. The draw is smooth with a punch cut. There is a distinct herbal or 'sweet' aroma to the smoke that I find pleasant and unique. For $3 a pop, it is WELL worth the pleasure. I would have thought this would be closer to $5. All in all, I will keep these in my arsenal.

About half of these had cracks in the wrapper at the foot which caused them to burn uneven pretty bad. My wife didn't care much for the smell of them either, when she walked in the room she asked if I had passed gas...lol! All that said, they tasted decent for a $2 cigar. I purchased these to compare with the Diamond Crown Maduro. I will state if you are one to really smoke daily then this is a very good cigar. for 30.00 per 20 cigars versus 300.00 per 15 Diamond Crowns you will be amazed at the slight difference. Spoke with one of the people who answer the phone at Neptune Cigar’s about the Quorum Maduro as I had a question about how it compared to the Brick House Maduro. They were great about answering my questions. So I picked up (4) Quorum Maduro Double Gordo 6" x 60 to try. Well there is absolutely nothing I could say negative about the Cigar. I was totally blow away but the quality of the cigar for price paid. The Quorum Maduro is what I would call a great cigar at a bargain. At about half the price of the Brick House Mighty Mighty Maduro that is my favorite cigar. I will not stop buying the Brick House Mighty Mighty Maduro. But I found a great daily smoke. Sometimes you run into something just two good to believe, the Quorum Maduro is one of them.

Churchill Quorum is a good cost effective cigar. However, in every bundle there are a few that are wrapped unevenly which causes an irregular smoke. Also, it has a weak ash which you have to get rid of frequently.

Quite frankly, this cigar tasted better and performed better than another brand that I had a few nights ago that was on the CA top 25 (and cost five times as much). The first third started out with robust earthy flavors of hay with a peanut-y nuttiness and undertones of cardamom. The smooth mild body continued into the second third where it transitioned to alfalfa and toasted oak. The draw had a gentle resistance, and the burn was nearly flawless until it hit the band where it started to go slightly wavy. After the band, it started to get hot and took on a very subtle bitterness so that's where I let it die. Other than those last couple of draws, this cigar was smooth all the way from beginning to end with no bite or harshness at all. If you like strength, this one is not for you. There was no strength to it at all. It did produce a generous amount of smoke off of the draw, but due to it's size, it did take a little bit of coaxing to get the smoke all the way from the foot to the head. Overall: This was a really good smoke for any price, and an even better smoke at under two bucks a stick! Pairing notes: This would be a perfect match for a sunny afternoon and your favorite ice cold lager right out of the can.

These are the perfect cigar for me, I love how the draw is fluid and consistent. My cigars arrived on time and to ensure there was no damage, NC, put the perfect amount of bubble (air wrap) inside the package. Cigars went straight into the humidor minus one, have to have a nice cigar at the end of the day. :-) Cigar was NOT dry it was perfect. I have turned several people on to NC and as far as I know they love this company as well. Great company, great cigars, fantastic price!

This is one of the better bundled cheap cigars that I've tried. It had a nearly perfect burn and a good draw, good appearance and a reasonably pleasant mild flavor. It was a little bit grassy with a natural sweetness, and maybe even a very slight hint of coffee. Into the last third, it developed a little bit of bitterness so I let it die out before hitting the band. I didn't appreciate the lingering aftertaste of this cigar at all. The flavor while smoking it was pleasant, but the residual flavors were not enjoyable. I would not recommend this cigar to a beginner, but I would recommend it to someone that's accustomed to cigars and wants a decent cheap smoke.

Nice inexpensive smoke when you don't have a lot of time for a premium cigar. They need a little age on them as they came a little over humidified, which is better than too dry.

I love these small cigars. They have a nice draw. They feel like other four doller cigars. For the price these shortys hit the 20 min spot for a fast cigar. I have bought over 100 of these and I always have them on hand. For a short cigar I have not found anything to beat them!

This new "Shade" wrapper from Quorum is a winner. Often the EDC cigars are nasty. You DO get what you pay for in cigars. I smoke these in the car after work,EVERY DAY CIGAR.Great wrap,burn and mild pleasant taste. Not Davidoff,but for a buck a stick or so enjoyable all the same!!

Maybe the best smoke for the price you can find, when i smoked this cigar with a friend and found out that he payed under two dollars for it i was amazed. Great flavor of leather and earthy tobacco flavor, few veins that dont get in the way of enjoyment, burns slow, and is mild at best. i love bargin sticks and to me this is the best one for the price

This is a fine Robusto. I like The Montecristo Edmundo (from Cuba) and the Cohiba Siglo VI (from Cuba), but for the price you pay for this, its a very close call. All in all I think its a great buy......better go, about to try a Torpedo.
