The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

USA Connecticut refers to tobacco grown in the Connecticut River Valley, which runs through four New England states. The soil in this area has a glacial origin and produces a tobacco that is known for its distinct, light flavor. USA Connecticut tobacco is either Shade- or Sun-grown.

Nice cigar, although I generally prefer somewhat smaller ring gauges in a full bodied smoke. Construction and burn is excellent, while the flavor is redolent of cedar, leather, and black pepper with a hint of sweet cocoa. Price is just a bit steep for the offering.

This is a beautiful cigar worthy of celebration. The wrapper is smooth with just a few veins present, and the aroma is classic aged musty tobacco. When clipped the cold draw is flawless with a tick of resistance. Once toasted and lit the flavors boom of vanilla and oak with cinnamon and white pepper on the retrohale. It was consistent throughout from start to finish, but was very enjoyable. Pairs excellent with a high end Scotch Whiskey! If you have the dough, try it! You won't be disappointed.

This is a great looking cigar with a great aroma but the flavors are a little bland in my opinion!! The flavors are mostly wood with a light creamy texture to the smoke. My cigar tasted a bit “Green” and bitter on the palate.

It is a wonderful cigar. I recommend you to mature this cigar a little. Even so, it's too expensive. I think that chances of having more fun will increase if it is a bit cheaper.

In the essence of true luxury, the Zino Platinum brand was created. The Platinum Chubby is a exquisite-looking perfecto shaped cigar that boasts its 61 ring gauge with pride. A light Ecuadorian Shade wrapper is offset by the black and silver Zino band. Lighting the cigar, my palate immediately registered a creaminess with a hint of spice to start it off. A few puffs down the road, the creaminess is prevalent while setting aside the light spice somewhat. Arising from the smooth textured smoke, notes of cedar and nut came to mind. The cigar and its flawless burn caught the eye of other smokers around me, and only dropped ash when I wanted it to. All in all, an opulently priced premium smoke that is very well worth it. The Chubby also makes an excellent gift and even better “special occasion cigar”. Life is short - everyday is a special occasion!
