A medium bodied smoke, the Casa Cuevas Habano is handmade in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Before I continue with the description, I would like to thank RENE, a wonderful and hard-working person from Neptune who always recommends good cigars to me. For $8.05 I'm smoking Premium! I am having a very nice experience! The blended flavors of the smooth, earthy coffee from the first third are a divine experience! The Second Tercio maintains the flavors and continues to be enjoyed without getting bored! I repeat the experience is gourmet, unforgettable! When you get to the last third you don't want it to end!! Super Recommended for all types of smokers!!Comparable to a Cuban stick!

The Casa Cuevas company has been on my radar for some time, now I figured I’d give it a go. The red and gold band along with the aged habano wrapper is a flawless classic. Pulling the cello off, the cigar had a nice mild smell and after cutting the cap the cold draw had a nice earthy taste. After the toast and first puff I had a super thick smoke that left a nice cedar flavor on my pallet. I was enjoying the flavor but I noticed a slight change on the finish, which now turned into a sweetness that was hard to figure out at first. After about 20 minutes in, the sweet taste has been amping up and throwing me off (in a good way). The smoke is so smooth I can retrohale a complete puff. Then it hit me, it was like my grandmas homemade cherry pie! You can almost even taste the toasted crust and cherry filling. As I approached the last third or 45 minutes in, the flavors are still dominant and I’m loving every puff of this cigar. Now at 55 minutes in, I literally could not smoke anymore or I would have blistered my lips being that I only had less than half of a inch left. Never had I felt a strength kick and I only had to touch up the burn a couple of times due to it burning uneven. This cigar left me highly impressed and I am now adding it to my weekly rotation. Go pick up a couple and try it for yourself!

I am always game for trying a cigar I know nothing about -- hence this new Casa Cuevas Habano robusto! This is a three country blend -- Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. This cigar comes in three sizes. Upon first light, natural tobacco notes are upfront along with woody and fruity notes. A slight amount of black pepper is in the background. Into the second third, the woody and fruity note are still upfront but are blended together extremely satisfying. The last third picked up pretty much the same notes , but woody notes took the rein to the very end. The construction was spot on -- the cigar burned cool to the very end, burn rate was perfect, and this cigar definitely produced a nice amount of smoke output! The cigar started off as a medium strength cigar and turned into a med/full bodied smoke. It never got too sweet or too spicey--great balance throughout. I would definitely smoke again and will also venture into their other blends. Enjoy!

Get your hands on one of these! I purchased a single on a fluke and WOW, this is a very nice cigar. This is not a mild to medium cigar, nor is it a medium to strong cigar. This is an absolute medium strength cigar. The roll is firm, tight, and very well made. The burn and draw are perfect. Creamy smooth, and nutty. I will certainly be purchasing more of these. If I didn’t know I would have thought this was a Habanos Punch Tubo.
