The AVO Classic Maduro was the first blend developed by the late jazz composer turned cigar crafter Avo Uvezian in concert with master blender Hendrik “Henke” Kelner. It is artfully hand crafted in the Dominican Republic by the Davidoff Group. It sports a warm, deep brown USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that covers a binder and filler made of premium Dominican tobaccos and delivers rich notes of cedar, wood, pepper, and espresso.

This is a good cigar, and I enjoyed smoking it. However, I believe you can find something equally as good at a much lower price point.
I purchased this cigar and allowed it to rest in my personal humidor for three months before smoking it. I wanted to give it every opportunity to reach its full potential, and I believe it did. It was a very pleasant smoke, and I have no complaints about the quality. That said, I still believe there are cigars that offer an equally enjoyable smoking experience at a considerably lower price.

Perfect draw, burn and construction. Smoked this on a very windy day and it still burnt fine. Flavors however were not great. First third started off with some slight cherry, cocoa sweetness, but mostly espresso bitterness. The bitterness was quite strong and lasted almost half of the smoke. Towards the 2nd half of the smoke, the bitterness died down a little, sweetness lingering slightly in the background, with some earthiness. It was a straightforward cigar, but didn't give me the Maduro flavors that I was looking for. Not box worthy in my opinion! Mild+ strength.

I was looking for a cigar with CT Broadleaf wrapper made by Davidoff and found this. Taste and aroma wise it didn't disappoint because it's very smooth and tasty, but cigar started to tunnel after first light, so construction doesn't seem good.
