Atabey Cigars

Launched in 2011, Atabey cigars is a hard-to-find cigar. Created by Neslon Alfonso, a  graphic arts designer (who designed the Padron’s 50th Anniversary humidor) turned cigar crafter, the Atabey cigar is an ultra-premium cigar that is available at selected cigar stores throughout the United States. The Atabey is named after the supreme deity of the Taino Indians, the indigenous people who occupied most of the islands in the Caribbean. The Atabey cigar is known for its natural tobacco sweetness and peppery taste.

Nelson Alfonso is the creative director for the Golden Age design firm which has handled the branding for Habanos, S.A. cigars. In addition, he was the designer behind Padron’s 50th Anniversary humidor. Alfonso is also a gifted cigar blender and founder of Atabey Cigars. Elegantly encased in glass tubes and packaging that is collector worthy, the Atabey cigar sports a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler for a mild to medium-bodied smoke. The Atabey has a pleasing floral base that is accented by a sweet and salty note.

A feast for aficionados of Atabey cigars or fans of ultra-premium cigars, this elegant humidor comes with the entire line of the Atabey cigars. Its all-wood exterior has a sleek, glossy black finish that will add a touch of sophistication to your smoking den. The interior features two analog hygrometers, a humidifier compartment, and four storage compartments. The humidor also features two side drawers (with two compartments on each side) and one front drawer (with four compartments). Each compartment is designed to hold a specific size cigar. The Atabey cigar offers a mild to medium strength smoking experience with soothing floral notes and an overall rich creaminess. The cigar is composed of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a binder of undisclosed origins and a filler consisting of Peruvian ligero and undisclosed tobaccos. The cigars in this must-have collection were rolled in 2017 and allowed to age before being placed in their collectible humidor. This is a very limited-edition humidor.
