La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet

When La Flor Dominicana retired the LFD 2000 Series from the market, the one cigar that remained was the La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet No. 3, partly because this is Litto Gomez' favorite cigar and both he and his son can be seen smoking this little stick throughout the day. We think we know why...even though small, this stogie packs a lot of flavor with excellent burn and draw.

About: La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet No. 3 4"3/4 * 40
I travel a lot and keep hoping I find a small stick that satisfies even though I often have limited time and places to relax. This one came strongly recommended but it smokes fast and harsh, lacking the creamy or sweet notes I'd hoped for. OK but certainly not great.
About: La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet No. 5 5" * 50
I am always looking for a good Cameroon and saw this cigar repeatedly referred to by others stating their benchmark--so I decided to try. For me, even for a small ring size the wrapper was shoved out of the flavor profile by the strength of the innards. It wasn't a bad cigar, but a little overstated and harsh for the smoke I was picturing in my head.

Perfect 45 min vacation not as strong as a typical LFD medium in body and that sweet Cameroon wrapper makes this a perfect smoke
About: La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet No. 3 4"3/4 * 40
If you have only about 20 minutes to smoke, it's not an excuse to pick up a bad cigar. The La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet packs up a ton of good flavor in a petit corona size. These box pressed cigars will absolutely delight you, they have a very pleasant toasted nuts flavor, a creamy cedary aftertaste, a flawless burn and draw. And it is a medium bodied stick that you can smoke when you're running out of time. Keep a few of these in your humidor at all times!

Cameroon wrapper with good aroma. Wrapper felt thin and papery. 3/5

As soon as I saw it, I got obsessed with the brown, oily chocolate wrapper. This cigar caught my eye immediately...kind of a rustic look but very appealing and full of promises. Earthy and nutty flavors are the starting notes combined with the natural sweetness of the aged Cameroon wrapper. It changed to a woody, light pepper and cedar combination in the middle and intensified the sweetness and woodiness right in the end. A smooth smoke that goes from medium plus to full on strength. This cigar can brag of a nice cold draw, a beautiful grey ash and a perfect burn...what else can I ask? This is a very limited production, don't miss the chance to try it, you'll not be disappointed.

Very quick smoke. Smooth draw, taste and aroma left something to be desired. Seemed quite mild for the full flavor rating given on the site.

Ok, so let me break this one down for you...here you have a box pressed corona sized cigar, adorned with a Ligero Cameroon wrapper (yes, you read that correctly...Ligero Cameroon) rolled over LFD's Dominican fillers. I punched it with a small ring gauge punch and proceeded to fire it up after a quick pre-light tasting. Pre-light...all I found was a subtle grassy, woodsy scent. Post light, the subtle sweetness of the wrapper and spices of the filler immediately began to swirl around my pallet. It was a rather nice combination. I should also note that smoke output was quite impressive. The ash was almost a pure white color that only fell when I decided to tap if off. In the beginning, I deemed this cigar to be a "medium" in strength. After I got into the last third...the strength increased at least to a medium plus...possible venturing into full territory. All in all, I was impressed! I will definitely add a few more to the humidor. Cheers!
