When you’ve been in the tobacco/cigar industry as long as the Cuevas family has (almost four generations!) you not only make great cigars, but you also create a legacy. It is why Luis Cuevas Jr. and his son Alec, created the Casa Cuevas Patrimonio. A full-bodied cigar, the Patrimonio (which is Spanish for patrimony) pays tribute to Luis Cuevas Sr., who after he left Cuba, continued in the family tradition of producing top-quality cigars. The Casa Cuevas Patrimonio features a flawless, red-hued Honduran Corojo Colorado wrapper. It is expertly hand crafted at the Cuevas’ Tabacalera las lavas, SRL factory in the Dominican Republic. This special commemorative cigar’s collectible box features a picture of Luis Cuevas Sr., Luis Cuevas Jr. and Alec Cuevas.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Honduran cigar wrapper has the reputation of great quality, with wrapper leaf being grown in the Jamastran, Talanga and San Agustin valleys. Some of the wrappers being grown in Honduras include Corojo, Honduran Claro, Honduran Criollo, Honduran Jamastran Viso Rosado, Honduran San Agustin Havana Seed and San Agustin Ligero.
Corojo
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Habano Ecuador is a Cuban-seed tobacco that is grown and cultivated in Ecuador using traditional Cuban methods.

Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

I really wanted to like this cigar based on all the reviews I’ve seen, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. The cigar was plugged, and even after trying to fix the draw with the Perfect Draw tool, it didn’t help. Going into the second third, the cigar started to unravel and explode on me, so I gave up and threwitout. I’m going to give this cigar the benefit of the doubt and assume I just picked up a dud from a good batch. I did enjoy the flavor and aroma, so I’ll be revisiting it again in the future and hopefully get lucky with a good stick.

Ive seen some bad reviews for this cigar and i dont get it. I quite liked it. It does get a little too peppery for the style of blend that it is at times, but overall it delivers excellent flavors, moderate complexity, a couple of refined notes here and there. Id check it out for sure.

Extremely average cigar. Acrid aftertaste and it didn't seem like a very full-bodied smoke. It tasted like a cigar that one says you get what you pay for. At $10 it's 2x over what it should be.
