The Ozgener Bosphorus brand is the creation of Tim Ozgener. He is the founder of Ozgener Family Cigars. His father, Cano was a legendary cigar crafter who founded the globally recognized CAO Cigars. Tim and his sister worked side-by-side with their father to grow CAO. The Bosphorus cigar brand honors the family’s Turkish roots. Located in Turkey, Bosphorus is a body of water that divides Europe and Asia. The cigar is composed of a savory, dark tan Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper placed over a dual binder made of Ecuadorian Connecticut and Nicaraguan leaves and a Nicaraguan filler.

The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Jalapa is a tobacco-producing region in Nicaragua. It is known for its fertile land, and the tobacco grown there is one of superior quality and flavor.
Ecuadorian Connecticut
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Due to almost permanent cloudy skies, which provide a natural shade, Ecuador is the ideal place to grow Connecticut shade tobacco. The cloud cover allows the tobacco to grown without shade cloths, which reduces its production costs. Ecuadorian Connecticut shade grown is typically used for wrappers and binders.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Love the look and feel of this cigar. The draw was very easy, and the burn was very even. I liked the smell of the cigar, the aroma was good. The taste was a bit of a let down. It wasn't a bad taste, more of not much of a taste for me.

Nice smoke. Burn and construction were good. Flavors were pepper in the beginning with more creamy notes and coffee through most of the smoke. Got a little leathery at the end. Not as high as CA rated it but have no problems smoking another one.

A high quality smoke with an excellent draw and mostly consistent burn. Started on the light side of medium but picked up intensity as I smoked through it. Light coffee and cream grew into more leather and pepper. Lasted me a good hour 45. Worth a try for sure.

Bought a box after seeing tons of good reviews. Not disappointed at all. The only thing I can say bad about this stick is the burn needed 1 or 2 minor touch ups and the flavor fell off a little in the last 3rd. Everything else lived up to expectations. Highly recommend. Will buy again.

Here we go, the Ozgener Bosphorus B50! This short stick is packed with an assortment of flavor. Before lighting this one, I was greeted with alot of nutty notes on the dry draw. Upon my first light I was met with an overwhelming leather and cocoa profile. Throughout the first half of the cigar I was pleased with the smooth draw and great construction. "Man! What an amazing burn!" (which stayed that way all the way down to the nub.) Being a small vitola size it is perfect for a 20 to 30 minute smoke, taking me only 25 minutes! About halfway through, a subtle transition is noticed from the leather and cocoa to more oaky and earthy notes. Interesting switch, and overall just a great small cigar offering everything one could need as a full body smoker. Being that this stick didn't burn hot towards the end, you can literally smoke this one to your fingertips! Highly recommend this short smoke for anyone's humidor.

Fantastic little cigar. Very mellow with great flavors. Not overly complex but super smooth. Crafted by Tim Ozenger but released by Crowned Heads and Crowned Heads only releases bangers. It's a must try, my only regret is not getting a larger vitola.
