Its ultra-dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper contrasted against a sophisticated, minimalist head and foot band, which got my attention. The cigar’s construction was solid, but with a little give. The cold draw was effortless, and I picked up some soothing earthy notes along with a warm tobacco sweetness. From the first to last puff, this toro delivered bold yet balanced notes. Its overall molasses-like sweetness, notes of pepper, and a spicy, earthy undertone added depth. Performance was above expectations for this cigar. The draw was slightly tighter than I like, but still ok. More complex flavors than strength, about 3 to 4 transitions. Excellent value, this cigar is definitely worth a try. Box worthy.
