A medium-strength cigar, the ADVentura The Navigator is hand rolled at the Tabacalera William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic. A dark, sweet Mexican San Andres wrapper surrounds The Navigator’s Indonesian Sumatra binder, which houses premium tobaccos from Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. The ADVentura The Navigator has a spicy flavor profile that is accented caramel notes.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Tobacco is grown in many islands of the Archipelago but, as far as cigars are concerned, Sumatra and Java are the ones. Sumatra Wrappers are worldwide known. Central Java (Vorstenland) and East Java (Besuki) give fillers and wrappers in abundance. Indonesia is a key country for cigar tobacco.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Tobacco grown in Sumatra is chiefly used as a wrapper, but it also serves as a great binder. It is flavorful and has a consistent dark color.

The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Excellent dark flavors without being to over powering. The Mexican San Andres wrapper introduces a nice blackberry note with toffee and dark roast coffee as the main flavors. In the background there is black pepper, leather and milk chocolate that adds to the complexity.

Great even burn. Solid construction. I think if this one didn’t have such a tight draw it would have been more enjoyable. Have something to drink on hand. The nicotine hits with this one. I’d try it again though.

Very enjoyable cigar. Good construction, good burn, smooth and creamy smoke. Medium plus on flavors. core (dominant) flavors: cedar, leather, hay, medium pepper in a well balanced combination with others that I could not identify, but they added enough complexity to make this interesting from start to finish.

A cigar with the right amount of spice and cream, with a mouthwatering intense yet smooth aroma. Right from the beginning notes of almond and pepper take over my palate, the flavor is exquisite. Upon lighting a hint of spice that blends perfectly with mocha notes which leads into a very creamy almond finish that lasts the entire smoke, Don’t get me wrong the pepper gets more intense but not overwhelming, just to keep it interesting with underlying cocoa notes from the beginning to the end, Well balanced and flavorful, solid construction with a solid white ash and even burn. No relights needed, This cigar is medium to full in strength…definitely full in flavor, Perfect to be paired with some nice Dominican Rum!
