The EIROA Cigar by Christian Eiroa has a band that says "Salud, Amor y Pesetas", which is an old Spanish saying that means "Health, Love, and Wealth". The band represents Eiroa's homage to his heritage that started with his grandfather and spans 100 years of love for making cigars. The EIROA cigar is made in Danli, Honduras at the Aladino Factory and uses Honduran tobacco for a bold, full bodied flavor.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Honduran Corojo is primarily shade-grown and used for wrappers as well as binders. It is valued for its flavor, dark brown color, consistency, and barely visible veins.

A pretty darn good smoke! Some sweet, fruity, coffee / espresso flavors, along with a spicy finish throughout, which I didn't enjoy so much. Pretty straightforward flavors nonetheless. Burn was pretty good, slow but good construction. Solid medium+ strength.

I picked up some of these in Danli, Honduras just to try. WOW. What they do with the soil, and aging down there is just awesome science. These cigars represent the soil, the experience, and the love of the craft. Earthy, leather, cacao, coffee, and smooth as silk. If you love that kind of cigar, you’ll fall-in love with Honduras cigars with this one.

Eiroa Classics are a cigar I prefer to smoke alone, when I want to retire to my Spanish Castle and project my consciousness into the ether. Draw was a little more restrictive than I prefer which I guess is to be expected of a compressed vitola. Flavors are as presented in description. Great cigar for a short smoke or to have handy while traveling on a motorcycle. I’m loving this Corojo tobacco. Keep ‘em coming. Outstanding service from Neptune!

Great Stick. In the 1st 1/3 has a nice woodsy citrus flavor, in the 2/3 You start to taste a nice nutty flavor with a bit of spice that finishes off the cigar. Only problem I ran into was having to touch it up at least 4 times which was not a big deal. I'll be most definitely getting more of these down the line.

If I were to blend my own cigar, it would definitely be on a corojo wrapper. I really enjoy the spicy kick you get out of the wrapper. When it comes to corojo wrappers, in my opinion, no one does it better than Eiroa. The Eiroa Toro is an Honduran puro that is rolled at their Aladino Factory. The Toro starts off with red pepper and woodsy notes. The draw was a bit firm at first but eventually opened up during the first third. As the cigar progresses, some notes of dark fruits appear that leave a sweet after taste. You can really appreciate all of the fruity and spicy notes on the retrohale. Towards the final third, the cigar has developed toward a full bodied smoke. The Eiroa Toro is a consistent cigar offering great flavors and a generous smoke output. I usually prefer my corojo wrappers no bigger than a 50 ring gauge so I can taste the wrapper a bit more. However, this cigar was still excellent despite being a tad bit thicker than my preference. If you enjoy your cigars on the stronger side, I suggest you give one of these a try.
