Diesel Whiskey Row, made by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua, is the latest brand that uses barrel aging to enhance the cigar’s profile. The Diesel Whiskey Row’s Mexican San Andrés binder leaves are aged in wooden barrels that previously contained Rabbit Hole bourbon. The Diesel Whiskey Row’s filler uses Nicaraguan tobacco that has been aged five to eight years. The cigar’s Ecuadorian habano wrapper has undergone a five-year aging process too. Contrary to what one might expect, barrel aging does not give the cigar an overpowering bourbon flavor. In fact, the Diesel Whiskey Row is a medium-strength cigar with strong notes of oak and leather. If you have ever wanted to experience a bourbon barrel-aged cigar, the Diesel Whiskey Row is great place to start.

Fans of barrel-aged tobacco will want to stock up on this exclusive sampler. Each sealed-for-freshness pack comes with: • Four (4) Diesel Whiskey Row Robusto (5"1/2 * 52) – A medium bodied smoke with a warm brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that has been aged for five years. Its Mexican San Andrés binder leaves are aged in wooden barrels that previously contained Rabbit Hole bourbon. The Diesel Whiskey Row’s filler uses Nicaraguan tobacco that has been aged five to eight years. • Two (2) Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask Barber Pole Robusto (5"*56), and • Four (4) Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask Robusto (5"*52) A medium-strength cigar with a dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that covers the Whiskey Row Sherry’s cask-aged Brazilian Arapiraca binder and Nicaraguan Habano filler. The binder tobacco has been carefully aged in barrels that previously contained Pedro Ximenez 30-Year-Old Sherry. This process adds a Sherry sweetness to the tobacco for a very exquisite smoking experience.

A nice way to enjoy full-bodied Diesel sledgehammers. The Whiskey Rows are interesting takes on aging, but the real stars are the Vintage Series offerings. AJ blends are some of the best in the business.
