Drew Estate, famous for its best-selling flavor infused cigars such as ACID, Natural, and Kahlua, has launched Tabak Especial Coffee infused cigars. Fair Trade Nicaraguan coffee beans are used to add mocha flavors to the premium tobaccos. The Tabak Especial Dulce line, very similar in taste to the popular --now discontinued-- Kahlua brand, uses a light brown Connecticut shade wrapper.

Decent smoke, i preferred the Dulce one over this

Has a unique appearance with the dual wrappers and dual bands. The wrapper leaves were a bit rugged, and riddled with veins. Straight cut. Cold draw and aroma are delightful. Smelling and tasting graham crackers and cocoa puffs. The cap was sweetened which I didn't mind as it primed the palate for what was to come. Be careful removing the footband as the wrapper wants to come with it. The flavors are much milder than the aroma in the first third. Some espresso, sweet cream, brazil nut, cocoa. The retrohale is toasted marshmallow. There's a spicy sweetness that remains on your lips long after. The burnline was wavy but left a nice stacking. Into the second third the marshmallow overtakes the flavor profile. Retrohale becomes more of a toasted almond. Burn required a couple touchups, but ashing revealed a tight cone construction. Home stretch flavors started to pop again with roasted cereal grains, rich creamy vanilla, and a dash of spicy cinnamon. Horchata in stick form! The final nub was chocolate covered espresso beans. Overall the namesake is fitting as this is a creamy coffee smoke. This was my sunrise stick but could easily accompany or even replace any coffee break. Spent over a calm hour with it, taking it to the fingertips. Nothing mind melding but a consistent and delightful smoke I'll gladly pick-up again. 10/7/23 Revisit, spot on experience above except the footband didn't give an issue this time. Burn was exceptional and draw was nice and open. Flavor profile was more of the same thankfully! 12/30/23 vcut. dry draw is pure marshmallow & fudge. footband required a knife removal to preserve integrity. This is a box worthy stick to pair with coffee.

I have given this cigar multiple smokes, my first was one of the best tasting cigars I have had, it was smooth with a perfect sweetness on the tip. My other experiences were still good but not quite up to the first, as they were a bit more bitter. All in all I loved it and will keep smoking it until I find that first one again.

Overrated cigar. They infused it with flavor to cover up the nasty taste. Cheap tobacco leaves are used so they infuse it to compensate the bad flavor. It was dry and started coming apart.

I've been smoking the Especial Cafecita Dulce and thought it would be nice to switch up. Not a bad switch because I really liked the firmness of the Cafecita Negra and the taste. While not as sweet, it was still really good. The big difference came from the wrapper always wanting to unwrap from the cap no matter how I cut it. This was manageable and I kinda liked having a firmer stick that also gave lots of great flavor. I thought I found a good addition to my everyday smoking until I opened the third 10pk. From there 7 or 8 of the cigars had wrapper issues. The issue wasn't noticeable by looking at it, but when I would draw on the cigar I got more air than smoke. There were holes in the wrapper. This really made for a disappointing smoke. After the first bad one I was like OK one bad one I can live with, but after 5, 6, 7,... I could still live with the cap unwrapping, but now the holes and bad draw. I really liked these cigars, but I'm probably never going to buy more. And I still have another tin of 10. I'm hoping it is good like the first two tins, but tins 3 and 4 have been very disappointing.

This was the first cigar I actually enjoyed and frankly the first cigar I ever smoked properly. Aside from Drew Estate’s Acid line, this is a very popular infused cigar for obvious reasons. Smooth consistent draw from one cigar to another. This cigar is definitely on the more milder side and sweet notes and leaves a sweetness on the lips.

One of my favourite cigars. I love the taste and smell, a mixture of coffee and chocolate, that stays all the way to the end. This is not a cigar if you want a quick smoke. It will take you a good 90min to smoke it, having said that, the first one you try will have you puffing it so often that you'll be done within 60min (or less, depending on how often you lift it). This is one of the few cigars that I smoke all the way down to the last half inch.

Very good, firm, tight construction. Smooth draw. There is a coffee taste but not particularly strong. There is also a secondary taste, that is covered by the coffee taste, which turns out to be a cross between a sweet latte and caramel. The coffee taste becomes more pronounced in the second third moving to the final third. I didn't get anything from a retro hale. It goes well an iced coffee. One enhances the other. No real aroma to the smoke. Good burn, fairly even, just had to touch it up once. It has a good amount of smoke, which has a very slight aroma, but nothing that stands out. The cigar stayed firm all the way to the end. I smoked it until I couldn't hold it any more. I won't buy a box but I will keep a few in the humidor. A good mild cigar for beginners.

My process: 1. Smell the cigar 2. Cut and lip the tip 3. Dry puff taste 4. Roast the tip of the cigar, no direct flame. Light cigar and take a few initial puffs. Take it in. 5. Smoke cigar. 6. Reflect The initial smell of this cigar is amazing. It smells of a deep, rich chocolate. Interestingly enough, the dry puff tasted to me like twizzlers. Tip is only slightly sweet with slight resemblance of honey. Great smoke overall. It went out a few times, but I was partially neglecting it and it is a thin roll. This cigar is thin and shouldn't be left alone for too long. This cigar gave me a pretty strong head high about half way through so by the end I was feeling light headed. I don't love head highs, but the cigar was delicious. Not only will I buy again, but I will buy a box. Personal rating system to determine if I will rebuy this cigar. awful--not good---fine/okay--good--very good--((excellent))

Surprisingly good... The doce de leite / Dulce de leche flavor and sweetness are pretty amazing, and the stick itself is a long-burning well balanced Maduro. Only minor complaints were a touchy burn (all to common in this ring gage) and ash a bit flaky. Have a second in the humidor to see how it goes with some time. But initial reaction is positive in the buy-more category for a change of pace.

I don't usually smoke infused cigars so the overwhelming candy aroma -some kind of burnt caramel - took me back a bit. Once lit the draw and smoke were smooth and mellow and I have no complaints on that end. Not too into the sugary candy flavor but otherwise a very easy cigar to smoke. Won't be buying boxes but I'm glad I tried it.

First experience with a flavored stick. Cold draw and aroma is pure German chocolate cake to me, or maybe super-sweet espresso with chocolate sauce. Intense! The smoke itself seemed fairly light and restrained, but you get a mouthfull of that German chocolate cake flavor every time you put the end of the stick to your lips. Kind of interesting, like those people who keep dipping the end in brandy. Worth trying at least once. For a richer stick, I think a general Maduro (Liga, Padron, etc.) is going to be a more interesting smoke.

This is the first infused cigar I've tried. The prelight shows a very sweet aroma of coffee, chocolate and cream like a latte. The wrapper tastes very, very sweet like it's sugar-coated - too sweet for my taste. The flavor was consistent throughout the first two thirds tasting like it smells plus a mild woodiness and as I smoked it, the sugar taste of the wrapper diminished, which I think is a plus. Draw was light, but even and only required one re-light. The final third was milky and brought chocolate and wood. Overall, a very smooth stick.

This is my Breakfast smoke and the smoke in the morning I go to while walking "Bugsy" our Labrador. Hello friends of smoking, at a cigar trade fair in Germany, I can taste the cigars and was immediately impressed. Unfortunately I do not get the cigar at my local dealer and have therefore made the decision to take care of it myself. So I've found to the side of NeptuneCigars. The cigars were quickly found and the order is no problem. After the payment arrangements were tested positive (Americans trust Germans probably not ... :-)) all happened very quickly and I got from the German parcel service information that I "my cigars" at the German customs in my town may pick up. Which in turn took a little longer - bureaucracy just ... With cigars friends, we then opened the boxes and taken first cigar. Now to the important: The flavor and appearance was exactly what I had from the cigar trade still remembered. Also the taste of the first trains after lighting. Store good - good management - Cigar good !! Smoking heart what more could you want? In this sense - Happy smoke

Wonderful! The first two thirds were packed with a very mild nutty earthy flavor with just the slightest hint of coffee (really, the coffee comes out mostly in the pre-light aroma). The first two thirds remained consistent, but on the last third it abruptly developed mouthfuls of warm black pepper that overpowered the other more subtle flavors of the first two thirds. I know the description on this one gives it a medium strength rating, but I'd say it's more on the very low side of medium. The thing I liked most about this cigar was the creamy smoke with the clean mouth-feel. This is not a cigar that coats your throat and competes with your drink, or one that lingers in your mouth for days. Try pairing it with Dewar's, neat, and you won't be sorry. If you have friends that are new to cigars and you want to make sure they have a good first experience, hand them one of these and you can't go wrong.

I love the look of this one with the filler that seems to be bursting out of the foot. It's also bursting with smooth, creamy, mild flavor! The burn was even and the draw was perfect, but I did have to relight a couple of times toward the end. By the way... this thing burned for-e-ver! I was only two inches into mine while my friends were laying down their other cigars to rest in peace. Overall, the thing that really made t his cigar special was the wonderful flavor. I will certainly be buying this one again, and I'm going to get extras to hand out to friends that are new to the world of cigars. I view this cigar as an excellent opportunity for love at first sight with the world of cigars.

I've been purchasing these cigars for quite some time and I find that the flavor is very inconsistent. I personally like a sweet tasting cigar, but when they have very little flavor it is a harsh smoke to take and not very enjoyable. The last two boxes I purchased were terrible. Maybe the manufacturer can sweeten them up a little more. When they are sweet there great and enjoyable. Pat DeBernardi

The Drew Estate Tabak Especial Toro is as good as it gets. Coffee infused, And modeled after the Kahlúa cigar. It has a sweet café Taste and aroma. I prefer the Connecticut wrapper for a more milder flavor. You will find these cigars well-stocked in my humidor. I highly recommend Java by Drew Estate as well.

Excellent taste and aroma and a great draw. My only gripe (and it could be on my end) was I had to re-light a couple of times to keep it going. Tasted great through the end, with plenty of sweet notes and nice rich creamy smoke. I will try these again.

I've come to smoke these almost exclusively. Almost all of the Tabak cigars are wonderful. Out of all of them I like these the best. Coming from Macanudo and Partargas, these are sweeter and have that wonderful coffee note. You can't go wrong.
