Always looking to stand out from the crowd, CAO has introduced the CAO Consigliere, a full-bodied premium cigar hailing from Nicaragua. A consigliere is an adviser, usually to a crime boss or mob lord, and the CAO Consigliere is certainly a take-no-prisoners, let's-get-down-to-business type of smoke that will have you on your knees thanks to its extremely rich blend of Colombian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan fillers inside of a Honduran binder and covered by a dark and oily Brazilian wrapper. Deep notes of earth, leather, coffee, and pepper make the CAO Consigliere one to definitely watch out for, if you know what's good for you.

I really liked this one. It was on the sweet side and I think it would make for a good morning smoke if you're looking for something a little heavier. The smoke output wasn't too great but overall I enjoyed smoking this cigar.

I know it is a cheap stick from the CAO portfolio but the construction was below standard here with the wrapper cracking while smoking pushed by the unevenly packed filler or binder. Drew and burnt surprisingly OK though (with touch-ups) but did not deliver the interesting sweet chocolate profile I am after when I smoke a Mata Fina leaf.
