CAO has introduced the CAO Flathead in 2013, with a bold new full flavor and design. The name comes from the unique shape of the cigar, not only is the cigar box pressed, but the head is also flat. The wrapper is a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and the blend is rife with Nicaraguan tobacco. The retro design is inspired by the muscle car engine and the lid of the box can be removed and used as wall art.

The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

Dominican Republic
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Virginia Owen My husband has tried and liked the flathead cigars, but doesn't buy a whole box because he doesn't smoke cigars all the time. Because hes a mechanic he'd like to buy an empty box to keep and show off. Do u sell the empty boxes or know where I can find them?

Bernard What is the difference between a box-pressed cigar and a regular cigar? What does it change?

NeptuneCigar.com Aside from the shape it gives, the box pressed cigar is known to burn more even and longer than the regular round sectioned cigars. Some smokers feel that the box pressed shape adapts to the mouth better. With the compressed tobacco in a box pressed cigar, you may experience a fuller flavored smoke. Some smokers enjoy this, others may not as it is a personal preference.

The Flathead is without a doubt a full bodied and flavorful cigar! I picked up notes of earth, leather, pepper and cocoa along with a sweetness in the aftertaste. These flavors along with some molasses overtones really kick in as the stick progresses. Overall, a great cigar that was very enjoyable!

Overall a great smoke when you have a fraction of the time. Don’t be fooled by the length, if you’re a fast smoker like me, it will only take about 35-40 minutes to the band. Like with all cigars, draw is an issue on occasion, so far, 2 of the 4 I bought were a medium draw, just a bit tighter than I prefer, but thats par for the course I feel with a Lonsdale. Other than that, buy 3-5 before going for the box. CAO have a tendency to be a FULL strength cigar most if not all the time. I prefer my stogies with a good bourbon of any kind. However, with this cigar I chose the 4 Roses Small Batch. Match made in heaven. Just buy, you wont be disappointed.

Really disappointing cigar this. Wrapper wasn't on very well, draw was too tight and smoke output wasn't that great either. Felt it had more to offer but just didn't deliver. Once or twice there was a burst of flavour which was really nice but overall a disappointment. May try again but there are many other cigars to try first.

This cigar is my "go to" for an everyday smoke. I enjoy cigars that are medium to full and the Flathead Carb never disappoints. It is consistently an enjoyable smoke. You should notice hints of cocoa, leather, and cedar with a slighter hint of nuts during the burn. Please make sure you give yourself an hour to enjoy this cigar as it is NOT a quick experience. Share this stick with friends or use the time to relax by yourself - either way this cigar is worth the time and a great value. Perfect for the golf course, a gift, or closing the big deal. The Flathead Carb is a solid buy.

Got off to a really great start but had all kinds of burn issues through the first and second third. Really nice aroma, and a good taste. Good smoke production. Rustic looking. Medium body and medium strength. Draw was good...maybe just a bit loose.

I say this as a compliment- this is the perfect Vegas strip Club cigar. Good size, good burn, good draw, and there you won’t notice what’s not great. The wrapper tastes a little sweet and a little chalky. The smoke taste a little burnt and the smell is closer to camels unfiltereds. I’m not buying this one again but I am glad I smoked it. Reminds me of my younger days when I liked a cigar like this.

The CAO 660 carb is a fantastic cigar. This cigar is loaded with flavor. I get a sweetness from the maduro, a complex flavor profile that includes for me a little bit of spice, chocolate, coffee and cedar. The CAO 660 CARB IS ONE OF MY TOP 5 CIGARS. My advice to a new aficionado would be, have a full meal and take your time with this cigar. It is a wonderful stick.

This cigar is a great value. I got a full ninety minutes of very enjoyable smoke out of it, and the price is reasonable. Terrific pre-light aroma and nice full leathery flavors with a great smoke output. I've smoked quite a few of the Flathead cigars, and I recommend a punch or a V cut. Because of its flat head, a straight cut will probably take off too much and the wrapper might unravel. Overall, this is a rich and delicious cigar that'll keep you smoking for a good long time.
