Aladino is a 100% Authentic Corojo cigar made with tobacco grown by the Eiroa family in Honduras. These medium bodied yet super rich cigars have an old fashioned look and taste that will transport you to the Golden Era of Cuban cigars. Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Corojo tobacco was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. Very tasty lancero. People are always looking for "cubanesque' notes in cigars. While I don't think there are many non-cuban cigars that hit those, this might be one. It has some great wood, earth, and sweet pepper flavors. Burn is good, and the construction seems to be spot on every time so far for me.

I bought all the other vitola of this line so why not get a 9 inch stick for those long summer nights! This was a really amazing experience. I do not rush my cigars so this was a 3 hour job for me. Some times here in Northern Wisconsin, it is just too cold to enjoy a full size cigar. This cigar was perfect and recommended by Neptune. I really enjoyed the flavor and smoke. This is a small smoke that I will have in my humidor for Wisconsin winters and anytime I want to relax with a short cigar.

I really wanted to like this cigar. I like what the corojo reserva line has done and this cigar is tall and thought it was worth a shot. I'm already a huge fan of the Aladino brand, so when I saw the lengthy 9 * 48 Patton vitola hit the market, I marched straight for it. This Aladino is a 100% Honduras puro fully made out of the authentic Corojo tobacco that is the Eiroa family's trademark. The Patton starts with notes of cedar and some earthy flavors. The retrohale is a mix of pepper and earth. Entering the second part, the earthy wood notes continue with sweet caramel and orange in the background. I also began to find delicious notes of dark cacao in the retrohale by now. By the third section, the cigar still maintains the earthy notes while the cedar and pepper ramps up and becomes a little bolder. Still a medium-bodied cigar, but rich and well balanced. I am usually more into stronger, full-bodied sticks, but this is a go-to smoke for me every morning while getting ready to open the shop. Overall, the Aladino Patton is an amazing smoke in a generous size, but you can never have too much of a good thing!

I got turned on to this stick at a local cigar lounge several months back. Went back for a second and they were gone. A few weeks ago they had them again and tried it once more and liked it even more. Bought several right then and then a box from here. First order with Neptune and everything went well. While the box has been sitting and chillllllllin in the humidor I’ve been smoking the ones I had bought extra. I got to say every time I light one up I like it more and more. You know most of the time when you try something and you’ve got to have more then as you smoke them you realize that you sort of like them. Not these. I think my rating of these will continue to improve as I finally get into that box. Flavorful and smooth with an above average burn. Out of 7 so far I have had one with a slightly tight draw. This will be a permanent addition in my ever growing collection or problem as my wife calls it.

It’s almost unreal how perfect the wrapper looks. As smooth and even as a fancy chocolate bar you might want to eat it instead of smoking it. The Eiroa family proudly pointed it out as a authentic and 100% corojo cigar. I was waiting for a blast of pepper yet I’m pleasantly surprised how creamy and smooth it is upon first light. Yes, it has some pepper but it’s so subtle that it does not interfere with the earthy and sweet notes of natural tobacco; it’s more of a complement that gives this cigar a different dimension of enjoyment. The second third brings coffee and cedar notes and an increase of pepper...by the time it reaches the last third it becomes buttery. The sweetness has taken over and the pepper still there without being overpowering. Developing some flower notes to close the smoking experience. Medium to full in strength with a straight burning line. Gray flaky ash and a perfect draw this stick is certainly a hit. It’s intended more for an experienced than a novice smoker in my opinion. There’s nothing but good things to say of this cigar: Well balanced, great flavor and great construction!!

Prefer the lancero. The robusto is distinctively more peppery. The lancero had more of the creamy, caramel silky flavors than the Robusto. Still good but not as good as the Lancero.

Aladino is a Honduran puro made with all 100% Authentic Corojo tobacco farmed by the Eiroa family in the Jamastran valley. Despite the all-Corojo composition, this cigar is well balanced and not overpowering. The strength is medium to full and you must definitely be prepared for the nicotine kick. Aladino is a very good looking stick which burns beautifully and has an easy draw.
