If there's one brand that undoubtedly comes to mind when you think of flawless construction and expert consistency, My Father would probably be it. The Tabacos Baez Serie SF is made at the My Father Cigars factory in Esteli, Nicaragua under the watchful eye of beloved master blender Don Pepin Garcia, and is the most efficient way to obtain superb quality for a very friendly price. Utilizing a 'Cuban sandwich' style of filler, the Tabacos Baez Serie SF borrows some of the long leaves of other more expensive cigars and stuffs them inside a Nicaraguan binder and Nicarguan Habano wrapper for an earthy, medium-bodied smoke that your wallet will strongly approve of... just as much as your palate will.

The Tabacos Baez Serie SF Toro is a short-filler stogie that smokes like a premium. It is a Nicaraguan puro from filler to wrapper. This is a medium-bodied smoke that is handmade in Nicaraguan by My Father Cigars. The Tobaccos Baez Serie SF is surprisingly well-balanced for a value-priced stick.

Cigar Review: Tabacos Baez Serie SF Toro
Appearance
Tabacos Baez Serie SF Toro has a medium-brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a rough look. Veins are pale and a matte finish gives the cigar a classic, no-frills appearance. The roll is even with a soft box-press shape and spongy texture at the foot. The band is simple, a reflection of the cigar itself — an unpretentious straight-shooter aimed at smokers in search of a daily cigar and not collectors.
Draw
Pre-light draw is smooth and open with subtle dry tobacco and cedar flavors. Drawn lit, it remains smooth and consistent with a healthy amount of smoke. It doesn't choke or require double-puffing — smooth and consistent from start to finish.
Burn
The burn line performs surprisingly well for a filler-mixed cigar. It's relatively even, with only the slightest of touch-ups needed. It's light gray ash lasts for someplace around an inch before cleanly dropping off. It's not razor sharp, but it's a model citizen — especially for an inexpensive stick.
Aroma
The aroma is mild and pleasant, with warm wood, dry soil, and sweetness notes involved. Not too strong, not too complex — just an unassuming tobacco fragrance to complement its casual demeanor.
Taste
The flavor profile is uncomplicated but sufficient. The initial third begins with earthy tobacco, some pepper, and a touch of roasted nut. Halfway through, there is a brief appearance of subtle sweetness — a hint of cocoa or caramel — that quickly disappears. The final third departs into earth and smoldering wood with a faint bitterness if smoked too rapidly. Mild-to-medium body throughout with no real changes and an easy finish.
My Final Thoughts
Inch-by-inch, I thought that the Tabacos Baez Serie SF Toro was a simple but fair smoke — nothing great. — but good enough for its price range. It's a decent daily cigar when you don't want something flashy. To be clear, though, it didn't amaze me to the point I'd buy another box wh

Sometimes you get a dud and the burn is off sometimes. Still is one of the best to smoke for price and time.

You can’t beat the price you might get a few duds in the box but the flavor it packs are surprising.
