It is a medium strength cigar that sports a Nicaraguan USA Connecticut Shade natural wrapper placed over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

The Connecticut Valley, in the Northeast of the USA, is well known for its bright golden wrapper. Because of a very hot and sunny summer, the tobacco is shade grown to make the leaf more delicate with few veins and even surface. Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in the United States has a mild to medium flavor and a silky quality, making it one of the most expensive and sought-after cigar wrappers in the cigar industry.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

This cigar lured me in. My very 1st one a few mo's ago I wasn't crazy about however I had a 2nd in my humidor which I brought with me to Vegas. Had it with some Gran Manier & boy oh boy I really enjoyed it. Ordered another two & just smoked one of them the other night in my backyard. The burn is perfect, I was talking the whole time & never had to re-light it, the flavor I found to be very mild & pleasant. This time I had it with a large coffee!

Other than some midway burn issues, this is a nice Connecticut shade cigar. This stick offers some smooth creamy flavors. All in all it’s a nice cigar and pairs well with a cup of dark roast coffee. Nice morning smoke!
