The Camacho Corojo, a truly superb tasting and fully aged cigar, has a distinctive flavor recognized by cigar aficionados around the world. Entirely handmade from selected vintage tobaccos, this unique cigar is the only Honduran puro made with Corojo wrapper, binder and filler.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

Corojo
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Corojo tobacco was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

These little 'machitos' are la bomba! A bright, tangy, powerful flavor smacks your taste buds upside the head from the first draw. Usually, cigarillos are lumpy and haphazard, but these look smooth and professional. Occasionally, they burn unevenly and have a fairly tight draw, but that's not unusual for cigars of this size. Highly recommend; this is a firecracker!!

Good looks, good construction, and excellent easy draw. Otherwise, I wasn't super-impressed with this one. The first third was very bland with no real defining flavor. The middle and final third improved some with mild coffee flavor, tobacco and earth, and a slight spice. The smoke is medium to full bodied and a little bitter. Burn started off a little uneven but corrected itself by the second third without any intervention and finished out razor sharp to the nub. This wasn't a bad cigar, but I was a bit underwhelmed. I think it was a combination of having expectations too high and I was grilling while I smoked this and maybe that distracted from the full experience. I would give another shot when I can pay full attention to the smoking experience. Otherwise I felt like this was a mid-tier stick at a premium price.

If this cigar could sing it would have a bass voice. Deep, dark and flavorful with the leather playing lead and spicy, spicy, earthiness coming in behind. A gorgeous stick with an oily sheen and razor sharp burn. Best after eating a hearty meal. A truly fine, but very strong, cigar.

So I ordered a single and this one has been aging in the humidor for almost a year. I read teh description, and after first puff. Holy Crap. REd Pepper, Red Pepper, Red Pepper. This was through the 1&2 3rd. Not enjoyable at all. It was like i was smoking red peper flakes rolled in tobacco. not until the end did i get any tobacco flavor and at that point the were very dull.

It has been a very long time since smoking a Camacho and what a nice change it was!!! This Sumatra blend was perfect to the taste. The draw was spot on along with the nice long white ash! The cigar starts off as a medium body but turns into a full body towards the end. The first third starts off very smooth with earthy notes and some spice. The second third brings along the same notes but almost coffee/espresso shows up which is a nice change. Into the last third, same notes hanging on along with cedar and more spice. Overall I was extremely happy with the whole smokingbexperience of this beautiful Sumatra blend. I would highly recommend this size.

Camacho really knows how to do it right. Great all around, the flavor was great and stayed consistant all through the cigar. Some say thats a bad thing, im indifferent on it. A consistent cigar to me is a welcomed thing.

Good choice for full strenth cigar. Burned very even. Little stronger than I normally like but it was to be expected. Stayed lit well throughout. Ashes seemed to fall off easily. Nice appearance. Lasted almost 1.5 hrs.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Quite possibly my new favorite cigar in this price range! First of all, I love the eye-catching red tube. Presentation is always important. Second, the pre-light aroma of this cigar is noteworthy. A gentle whiff will fill your senses with the most fantastic pungent earthy sweet tobacco aromas that you're likely to ever encounter. Finally, post-toast, this cigar delivers! Smooth (smooooth) (!) flavors from beginning to end of sweet, leathery tobacco with hints of nutmeg, baker's chocolate and hazelnuts! Did I mention that it's smooooth?! Medium in body and generous smoke output make it a pleasure to smoke down to the nub. And don't be fooled by it's size... this is a slow burner that will easily last you through two or three drinks. If I had to come up with something negative to say about this cigar, it would be with regard to the band. The band is entirely too large and required removal way too soon. To me a cigar feels naked without a band... and it feels wrong to take her "clothes" off so soon. A cigar band should be small enough, that you have plenty of time to kiss her before, finally, removing her "clothes". And then when she's so warm that her band is almost ready to fall off by itself... then you carefully remove it and enjoy her waxing warmth on your lips for a few more breaths until she lets you know that she is ready to rest. Overall: This is definitely a buy-a-box cigar! Pairing notes: Make this cigar really sing by putting it next to a fine aged rum. And did I mention that it is smooooth?!

Nice loose draw and lots of smoke. I found this cigar to get more aggressive as it burned. Started off medium, but ramped up to a full by the half way point. I liked it a lot and will certainly order more.

If you like corojo leaf this is a great value cigar with a great history. I had two Cuban corojo cigars hand rolled by one of Cuba's best rollers in the early 90's....the Camacho is close as it gets! Must like a strong smoke...

Citrus fruit flavor in the first third. It was black pepper type of spice stood out in the second third through the end. Strong spiciness and tobacco aftertaste.
