The Camacho brand is known for setting loose bold cigars. The Camacho Broadleaf is no exception. This dark muscular cigar features long-filler leaves from the Dominican Republic and Honduras which are covered by a Honduran binder. It is then cloaked by a dark Honduran Broadleaf maduro wrapper, which is the first time the brand has included a Honduran Broadleaf wrapper in its portfolio. This brash blend delivers a daring complexity of flavors that is not afraid to take boldness to the next level. The cigars are handmade in Honduras at the Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A. factory.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Found the thicker camachos to have the most flavor but they still have an issue with draw that is either a big hit or a big miss. Burn is always an issue with this broadleaf but it’s still damn good. Toast this good before getting started to ensure a proper burn.

Firm construction, kinda tight draw. Burn was a little wonky and uneven requiring a few touchups halfway through. Medium to full bodied with bold flavors of rich dark chocolate, black pepper, black coffee with some cinnamon sweetness.

For the first half I found it a relatively boring medium strength Maduro type smoke with chocolate coffee and some leather. Then halfway in the pepper kicks in as the smoke intensifies. Like all Camachos it drew and burned nicely and lasted me over an hour and a half. Thumbs up overall especially the back half.

This is usually one of my go to sticks. But this time around, I was disappointed. The draw was barely there. It was extremely tight. I had to relight a few times, and at that point, the burn wouldn't even hold at all, and it ruined the cigar. Camacho, you need to do better.

Camacho really did well with this release. A lot of dry cocoa, cedar, caramel and some florals. The smoke is dense and thick and leaves a great flavor on the pallet. It’s a linear cigar from first light to finish. What you got in the first third, is what you get for the life of the cigar. But I like that with this one because the flavor is that good. The draw was medium. The aroma was great. This is also the best looking Camacho next to the triple Maduro. I highly recommend this with a good coffee and spice wafer cookies, or a good straight rye. Will definitely be buying more.

It was a slow burn and somewhat hard draw. The 2 I had were tightly rolled. Good earth and spice with a touch of chocolate and coffee. Definitely enjoyed more so than Rocky DBS and on par with Alec Bradley Dbl Broadleaf. B+.
