Davidoff Aniversario is a special occasion cigar, beautifully crafted in the Dominican Republic with Connecticut Ecuadorian wrapper. This mild to medium smoke offers delicate notes of leather, nuts, black pepper and spices.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

Dominican Republic
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Mixed feelings about this one. It’s a Davidoff, so of course light, smooth flavor and excellent construction, with the exception of a very uneven burn halfway through which did ultimately even out. I think the Short Perfecto vitola may just not be for me. Probably wouldn’t buy again, but a fun experience to try.

Wonderful packaging. The tubos are all lined with Spanish cedar of course. I prefer the davidoff signatures. The signatures are so smooth you could inhale the smoke comfortably if you inhale tobacco smoke. Aroma is the best quality of these cigars by Davidoff. Nice little sampler here!

really nice cigar but mellow flavors. Smoke with a black coffee or sparkling water. There are great flavors but any whiskey or rum will drown it out.

Great way to sample a few Davidoff lines. Each blend profile provides a unique opportunity in different vitolas. I purchased the Millenium Blend robustos but preferred the piramide vitola. At the end of the Anniversary series, I'd come away with a much more favorable impression than before. It changed my mind about just how good this flavor profile is--and different from any number of the boutique Nicaraguans, which are wonderful their own right.

WOW. My new favorite Davidoff. My old favorite was an Anniversario #3 - this is like that but bigger and better. Extremely creamy and rich, and because it is so long you go through multiple flavor transitions that are very noticeable. Only drawback to this cigar is it very hefty price tag. Definitely a special occasion cigar.
