The Macanudo Emissary Espana cigar line uses tobaccos sourced from five different countries. One of them is a Havana-seed that is used in the cigar’s filler. The tobacco is grown in a region of Spain that is known for its rocky soil and Mediterranean climate that makes it ideal for growing tobacco. The tobacco grown in this region (located close to the town of Riolobos) is known for its thick oily leaves and adding intensity and complexity to the blend. This hearty tobacco is blended with Dominican, Colombian, and Nicaraguan filler leaves, which are housed in a Nicaraguan binder and cloaked by a USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. When lit this multi-national blend offers a sophisticated smoking indulgence that must be tried to be believed.

Distinctive rustic Old World character; mild and somewhat bland until a savory umami finish. Smoked September 12, 2026.

Not a big Macanudo fan but I smoked both Emissaries tonight and I loved them both. The Espana had a nice burn and slightly firm draw that opened up about half way in. Grew more peppery as I smoked through it. Nice tasty smoke overall.

I liked it

Well, the first third I pick up what primarily seems to be cedar/woody notes. No spice on the palette. Aroma is delightful. Because of the price, I don’t think I’ll be picking this one up again. This cigar is perfect for the person transitioning from mild to medium.

This does not smoke like a typical macanudo. Smokes like a boutique cigar worth $25+ absolute flawless construction and burn medium spice and a flavor that is unique reminds me so much of butterscotch hard candy both is mouth feel and flavor not as sweet obviously but definitely what it reminds me of get you one

Macanudo hit this one of the park! Very smooth, phenomenal burn time and draw, taste was great paired with some whiskey. Definitely a fan now!!

Very firm construction but with a nice easy open draw. Perfect burn with no touchups needed. Medium bodied with lots of thick, rich creamy smoke output. Tasty flavors of cedar, light peppery spice and a delicious toasted nuttiness. A fantastic cigar!
