The highly rated Partagas Black Label cigar is a very dark, attractive cigar, yet dont let that fool you as it is also as creamy and smooth a smoke as you will ever taste in a Maduro. In order to create Partagas Black Label, Daniel Nuez and his colleagues spent 10 years perfecting the Medio Tempo wrapper and the La Vega Especial binder. Cuban-seed Medio Tempo wrappers are darker, heavier and richer than other wrappers because they are harvested only after they have been allowed to age on their plants 50% longer than other wrapper leaves. These tobaccos and a larger ring gauge translate into a richer, fuller-bodied flavor.

The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Connecticut Broadleaf is grown in the United States' Connecticut Valley and is prized for its dark, oily, full flavored and aromatic characteristics. The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.

Dominican Republic
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Mark Notaro Is this the box & cigar bands I will recieve if I order ?? At some point partagas added red accents to the bands and kept the same box. This makes it hard to know if I am puurchasing those bands when buying a sealed box. Even if you have 20 loose Gigantes that you can put in that box I would most likely make a purchase Also let me know if you have any other sizes with the cigar band you are displaying for this listing

Mark Notaro Partagas black label changed there original ring label / logo twice over the past few years , I see you have all three pictured for various sizes. I am looking for there first deviation from the original lable, the ring logo you have pictured for the bravo 4.5x54 & the 5.25x54, Black & gold print w/o the red.. Is what you are picturing what I will receive if I order either of those sizes. If not are any of the other sizes you have pictured with the newer black & gold label avaiilablle... Jamie Kerry I too agree the two different sticks with the different wrappers taste different. Neptune cigar says they are the same blend and they very well could be. I do know that proper humidification and age will drastically advance a bold cigars profile.

I really wanted to have nice things to say about these. I love the brand and have really enjoyed some of their other cigars. I’ve tried smoking through about 7 or 8 of these so far and every single one has been extremely obstructed and impossible to draw through. Having to pull very hard to get smoke making me light headed and causing the smoke to be hot ruins any chance and enjoying the cigar. Each time I tried a new one I would try giving the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad roll, but so far every one I’ve tried has been impossible to smoke.

I tried the cigar out of Recommendation from dry Creek wrangler school. This cigar is right up my alley, and the kind of cigar that I love. Sometimes, when you are smoking a stick, something may come up where you have to stop. So I stopped and came back to the cigar later to see how it would hold up. I lit the cigar back up and it did not lose any integrity whatsoever. All the same flavors came right back, and nothing was spoiled. Nine out of 10, the cigar will be ruined. The second time I smoked another one, I had to relight it a few times, but the flavor never changed. It was consistent and delicious all the way to the nub. This cigar has impressed me the most in my journey . Will most certainly be buying a box.

Another fabulous cigar. Great aroma. Only issue is you must remove the label before smoking. I used a punch and the label still touched my lips. The good thing is that it came off easy. I will get a few more of these.
