The original Perla Del Mar was a highly acclaimed fan-favorite, and now JC Newman has followed it with a darker, bolder version - the Perla Del Mar Maduro. Using a beautiful Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper on top of Nicaraguan binder and filler, this box-pressed gem chooses to remain in the medium-bodied territory instead of venturing into stronger waters like many of its colleagues utilizing similar components. Although the strength is subdued, the flavor is certainly not. Expect rich notes of chocolate, molasses, coffee and cream throughout this exceptional value smoke.

Creamier and more balanced than the robusto but the rich dark espresso notes comes through still.

Simply great stick. Great value. My 5th different PDM. All have been terrific with superior construction, draw and burn. Very smooth and flavorful. Boxworthy without doubt.
