Quorum is handmade with the spicy flavor of aged Nicaraguan mixed filler and savory Nicaraguan binder. Each cigar also features a special light brown Connecticut Shade Ecuadorian wrapper leaf that makes this cigar milder than the original sun grown wrapped Quorum. A wonderful everyday cigar.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

Of the 20 cigars forming the bundle, seven were well constructed, of really fine quality, providing a smooth and gentle smoke ideal for cigars of larger girth. Enjoyment of the rest, however, was impaired by the fact that the strips of tobacco forming the filler did not extend to the head of the cigars but stopped about one inch short with the space being filled with small, finely chopped pieces of tobacco. If, as I do, you grasp a cigar between your teeth, the result is that the wrapper disintegrates and one's mouth is constantly filled with those loose bits of tobacco. That said, the price of $49.95 is reasonable for the bundle as a whole, but the company should be advised that I myself would pay quite a bit more if the quality of all the cigars was uniformly the same as that of the seven that I have initially described. I would have given 5-star markings to all the characteristics if I had been commenting on those seven alone.

The cigars were terrible! Constant tunnelling and soft spots in the middle of the cigars. Two of the cigars were not filled properly and the majority of the cigars had a rip or small tear. not buying those again. I don't understand how those cigars got so many good reviews.

Very nice discovery, this cigar is very good value for money. Well rolled and built. The draw is good and burns perfectly. In terms of aromas and tastes, we are on scents typical of Nicaragua. The first third is sweet, the second leaves more cream and the last leaves out this coffee/chocolate aroma that we like to accompany with a good XO rum ! :)

It's a nice smoke, my everyday smoke. It's not a premium cigar but most smoke very well. Generally, draw is very good, but from a 20 pack, I'll usually get 3 or 4 that don't draw well. Those usually tunnel. If I can find, plug or burn past the leak,, the rest burns well.

Best cigar for the money, if you prefer larger cigars. Fairly mild, generally easy draw, although they may need a little poking now and then (I keep a 16d nail on my desk for this). If you are a wet cigar smoker (keep it in your mouth most of time) these do tend to unravel a bit, but all in all a very good value for a handmade smoke.

The large gauge version of one of my favourite daily smokes is a beast, the extra diameter from the robusto may be a factor in a slightly blander smoke than expected, but it may have been due to not resting long enough in the Humi. Occasionally have a rough stick in the bundle, but in the main well-made cigar at an economical price point. Looking forward to trying again after a couple of months.

These little puppies are the perfect "short" smoke, when time is limited, or you just want a few puffs. The price on these guys is everything -- and for a Quorum, they're tasty and satisfying. Watch out, however, and don't expect uniform quality as you would in more expensive cigars. One or two in that bundle will have defects, or the tip will crack if you use a punch or V cut. Quarum has also glued the ring to the cigar, so in one out of four, the wrapper will rip open if you remove the ring -- just don't remove it, and let that be the signal to put her out! I keep these in stock specifically for their price, and short, stocky build. Save your $5 cigars for leisure time ... keep these little guys for all the other times! :-)

I have been a cigar smoker for forty years now and prefer a mild to medium body cigar. I normally prefer Rocky Patel, Romeo's, Montecristo's and Macanudo's. When my buddy stumled upon the Quorum line, we were both shocked, especially with the Shade Torpedo, at how consistent, smooth and delicious this cigar is. It is now our go-to cigar. I would rank it as good as any of the brands I listed above and at a quarter of the price. It's the best find ever!

Had tried these before, but this batch was terrible. I know this is not an expensive cigar by any means, but wrapper split and cracked on most and the tobacco is very loosely packed .. always spitting out little pieces.. disappointing..

Not a big fan of these. I was hoping to have them become a regular smoke, but after trying two of them I have changed my mind. The first one burned very unevenly. The wrapper fell off of the second one and the filler kept coming out with every draw. I smoked it for about 5 minutes and then tossed it.

Inconsistent burn and draw. Mild flavor, at times bordering on harsh. Regret buying multiple bundles, as one had a few sticks that actually had rope in them! That's right - upon cutting them, there was the ends of a couple of separate pieces of rope, protruding. After a couple of bad sticks, I started to film every time I would have one, and BINGO - I got it on camera! Pulling on the string like it was a worm out of the ground! Sickening! Surprised Neptune has issues like this...

The ratings would be higher if it was a little more consistent, but on the whole I still really love this cigar. I've found that on the ones that are tightly packed - you can feel it when you handle them - the draw tends to be too tight and the flavors are light and a bit bitter with low smoke output. That said, however, they're very reasonably priced and I've only had that problem with a few of them. I can get over an hour out of these robustos and it's a very creamy, smooth flavor. Because they're so inexpensive it's easy to dismiss a few with a bad draw here and there or toss one away if something comes up and you're not done with it.
