601 La Bomba Warhead VII 7 * 50, Box of 10

601 La Bomba was created by Erik Espinosa and made in a beautiful little factory in the foothills of Esteli Nicaragua called La Zona. La Bomba is a full bodied cigar made with 100% Nicaraguan tobacco, including an oily Habano wrapper and plenty of Ligero in the blend, which gives this stick it's extra-strength. Each cigar is finished with a "bomb fuse" pigtail.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

I always look forward to the 601 La Bomba Warhead releases, so I was very very excited to smoke the Warhead VII. This cigar is made in a unique size and shape --a box pressed churchill -- 7 x 50. It is a Nicaraguan puro, with a very dark chocolate oily wrapper -- almost rustic looking. Upon first light, a dry woodiness is upfront, slowly followed by pepper notes. I was definitely feeling tingling on my tongue! The strength is at a medium at this point. I will note that there was a very nice amount of smoke output. The cigar started getting a bit dry to the taste but going into the second third, a nice creaminess comes into play. The smoke becomes extremely smooth with a bit of sweetness peeking in. I taste almost a cappuccino flavor swirling about. Pepper notes along with earthiness were still in the background. Into the final third, the pepper picked back up but the creaminess was still a partner. Those notes along with some woodiness took me to the very end. Construction throughout was problem free. Strength got up to be around med/full, and the complexity was at a medium--but extremely enjoyable!! There was a very nice balance throughout the cigar as well. I was interested until the very end. This is definitely a cigar worth trying before it is no longer in existence! Enjoy!!

This cigar reminds me of the Camacho BG Meyer Gigantes in terms of draw and smoke output. Both are exceptional smokes. The draw is effortless and produces large plumes of smoke. Taste is really smooth. Going to order more when room opens up in one of my humidors.
