FSG 20 Acre Farm Gordito 6 * 60, Box of 20

Located just outside of Clermont, Florida, lies a 20 acre portion of land. It is home to the Florida Sun Grown farm and a delectable, dark, tobacco that goes by the same name. Florida Sun Grown (FSG) tobacco is grown from heirloom seeds in Florida’s bright sun and fertile soil, and then air-cured. This winning combination gives this All-American tobacco its distinct aroma and flavor. The tobacco is “humbly grown one harvest at a time,” and it is used as part of the FSG by Drew Estate 20 Acre Farm cigar. The cigar is composed of a USA Connecticut Shade wrapper that is expertly placed over a Honduran Sun Grown binder and a filler made of Nicaraguan and FSG tobaccos to create a medium-bodied smoking experience with a rich complexity. The cigars are handmade at the La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Big fan of the presentation on this one. Satin footband and cedar sleeve are nice touches. Sophisticated main band and a crisp wrapper leaf. Well done Drew Estate! Vcut. Cold draw is light almond and a surprising touch of mint. Attempted to use the cedar to light but it wasn't cooperating. Draw had some constriction and the smoke output had me wanting in the first third. Burn was quite wavy to start things off. Flavor profile is dry oatmeal, celery seed, some white pepper and a copious amount of Brazil nuts. Into the second third the grain profile really stands out. The nuances are grass, lemon zest and a dash of cocoa. Quite mild in body overall. The burn went from undulating waves to a jagged line. The stack was loose but respectable. Ashed the first third revealing a stout pyramid underneath, very slow burning filler. Decided to pair with an Eggnog coffee and the creamy nature of both play nicely. Purged and touched up, and the creaminess took over. Draw decided to open up and revealed decent clouds. There was some fennel characteristics joining the blend. Burn wanted to straighten out but never fully got there. Overall this fit the bill as a coffee stick. Not exactly noteworthy but a steady smoke nonetheless. Spent 55 minutes with it, and was a decent session with the stick acting as a backdrop, almost like a morning scone.

Glad I got a box of these. Leather case is a bit odd shaped though. I let this rest for a good while and they are now just right. RH 64% at 70F they have perfect draw , even burn, toasty flavor. Considering another box. Maybe robusto this time. A good medium cigar for sure.

Nice cigar. Good construction, smooth, medium body and creamy smoke. In a crowded field of excellent Connecticut it's difficult to be wow by this blend. For a light smoke or for a new smoker, this definitely has a place in their collection.

This was one of my favorite smokes. I don’t often go to a Connecticut wrapper but it was smooth rich and creamy for the first third. The second was a bit more robust and it tasted stronger but not overwhelming. The final third became more complex and produced thicker smoke. The bird was beautiful and required no touch up or uneven burning I gave it a 8.5 out of 10 on my log Would recommend and purchase again

This cigar has a Honduran Habano binder along with fillers from the Estelí and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. This great cigar from Drew Estate also has an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper and some Florida Sun-grown tobacco that was grown on the 20 Acre farm in Clermont, Florida. When first lighting the cigar, I got some cedar and hay notes and I found a medium-strength, well-balanced cigar. On the second third of the cigar, it retained its medium strength, and I started noticing some white pepper and vanilla tones to it. By the last third, it retained its intensity and flavor and always burnt even with a beautiful draw. In my opinion this slightly veiny, but mostly smooth golden-brown hued cigar has an excellent balance in intensity and flavor making it a must have for the humidor.

I always enjoy the creativity and uniqueness of what comes from Drew Estate, the 20 Acre Farm is perfect example of this and doesn’t disappoint. The construction, draw, and burn were all A-1, but the unique flavor profile and balance are what thrilled me. It’s great to see that they’re using Florida grown leaf for filler, and it truly doesn’t taste like anything else I’ve smoked. Will be part of my rotation for sure.

92 points. Beautiful cigar wrapped in a cedar sheath. Light to start then obviously strengthens a little. It was still burning at 90 minutes. I woulda smoked it to a nub but was called away for Father's Day breakfast. Actually that was the only reason I put it down. So, have a little time. I got this to try as a replacement for the FSG, Florida Sun Grown. Not disappointed in any way, yet this is certainly not FSG. Close but no cigar!
