The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro was released to celebrate Nick Perdomo's 20 years in the cigar industry. This Nicaraguan box-pressed Puro features a Cuban Seed Maduro wrapper from Nicaragua, with Nicaraguan binder and filler. You will experience a spicy sweet maduro with cocoa and earthy notes.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

NeptuneCigar.com If you are a beginner, you may want to start with a more mild Perdomo such as the Perdomo Reserve Champagne or Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Connecticut. Both described as a smooth and creamy smoke.

If you reading this review and are ready to step up from medium to full bodied cigars, this is the stick for you. The draw is exceptional, the tobacco is rolled expertly and the flavors are full, clean, crisp and bold. Not too peppery and not too strong either. It's almost a perfect cigar. The only thing I don't like, which is all but meaningless, is the band. It's too big and it just looks so clunky. Lol.

The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro E656 is a full Nicaraguan Cigar from the renowned Perdomo Brand. This Cigar was made to commemorate Nick Perdomo's 20 years in the tobacco industry. The Cold Draw offers me notes of Cinnanom and Chocolate with strong bits of leather. This Cigar starts off strong with its blend of flavors with notes of cedar, hay, and cocoa, and the Nicaragua Maduro wrapper seems to be just perfect for it. Nearing the middle of the cigar gets a bit creamier and notes of coffee start emerging, but strong amounts of cedar are still there. As the cigar reaches the final third it stays consistent with notes of Espresso, Leather, and subtle hints of cocoa. There is just the right amount of pepper throughout the cigar that definitely keeps me satisfied. Definitely one of Perdomo's finest in my opinion, a strong cigar from the start. Without a doubt a full body cigar, which I would pair with a good scotch.

These are labeled as toro size but they are large ring gauge sticks. For me the large ring gauge sticks are too airy muting the flavors.

Excellent construction, great looking cigar and great value. Not a boring cigar, changes flavor about every 10 minutes and the flavors blend seamlessly (like listening to a classic Jazz piece). My palet got: earth, hay, dark coffee, molasses, light pepper. Smoked slowly it lasted 1hr and 30 min. enjoy!

You have to smoke the whole cigar once you light it. It continues to internal burn and changes the taste to a bad cigar.

Excellent cigar, bold flavors, top notch construction. The burn needed attention (good, but you may have to relight it it you walk a away ... to fix a drink). I prefer the sungrown version this is definitely spicier.

Excellent cigar! Constructed meticulously and no burn issues. Flavorful but not a full bold class ofcigar, a little mild, but great quality. I taste peat, cedar, blackberries and with no bitterness when down to the last of the cigar. Easily in the 88-90 range! Will buy more!

Some I really like a lot others not at all. I especially do not like the Reserve Champagnes - too harsh with no redeeming flavor. The reserve Champagne NOIR is excellent though, as is the Lot 23.

Bought 3 and this cigar has been on my Try-list for some time. Overall excellent cigar, two re-lights to correct the burn, no big deal. Beautiful rich cigar with a classy roasted flavor, a little cedar, earth, and nutty and not quite full flavored but a very enjoyable cigar overall. Impeccable construction and a great pre-light smell. Expertly rolled and smoke flow was abundant. Can’t rate Aroma as I taste rather than smell a cigar. I think it is a solid 88-90 rating and I will buy more.

Bought this for my girlfriend for her to try as a cheaper alternative to her favorite the Padron 1926 Maduro No.6. Although she liked the cigar it was not close enough to the Padron for her to change over. The cigar is full in flavor and strength. I enjoyed my sample and would purchase it again.

A dark, rugged and oil looking cigar; something I look for in a Maduro. The scent is earthy and a hint of pine. Pre-draw had a slightly toasted cedar wood and honey. The first draw was amazing and there are not that many cigars like. Very toasty/spicy with a sweet after taste that's just forgiving. Towards the middle to end the flavors become more rich and open. Definitely for the Maduro smoker who is looking for more. Cheers to another 20 years for Nick Jr. Perdomo and his art of blending!

hard to rate an entire sampler the same. Champagnes are good in all ways. Corojos good too. Noir too strong for me. Lot 23 was poor on draw, burn, and taste.
