The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro was released to celebrate Nick Perdomo's 20 years in the cigar industry. This Nicaraguan box-pressed Puro features a Cuban Seed Maduro wrapper from Nicaragua, with Nicaraguan binder and filler. You will experience a spicy sweet maduro with cocoa and earthy notes.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

Nicaraguan Maduro
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

As always well constructed, but inconsistent draw on this one, first third was way too loose and then second third suddenly really stuck. It died on me couple of times in the last third. Flavors are good, more medium than full body, nice and smooth throughout, but as I have said with other perdomos, it seems a tad too generic and lacking personality.

I have heard all the hype about these. Some say it's hype but I am thoroughly enjoying them. They smoke great, smell great, I have zero complaints. They burn so well, draw is great as well. With that said, if I was to choose, I would choose the 12 year Perdomo over these, but they win by a small margin. lol...just something about the 12 year that makes them have a slight edge.

Like many Perdomo cigars, this one didn’t have a very good draw. Also, not much smoke. This first third was hard to smoke. Later a bit more but it got spongy and soft. Burn was ok but it felt too moist. Which is odd because it measured 65%RH. Perhaps this is best down lower like 62. Anyway, not the best at this ppoint. The 10 year is better imo

Great cigar. This was actually a gift to me, and it did not disappoint. Medium-Full bodied. I got the hints of chocolate and espresso throughout the whole cigar. Draw, appearance, and taste all were great. Burn did get a little sideways for a second, but straightened out on its own. I did get some hints of pepper in the retro. This will be a cigar I smoke again.

If you reading this review and are ready to step up from medium to full bodied cigars, this is the stick for you. The draw is exceptional, the tobacco is rolled expertly and the flavors are full, clean, crisp and bold. Not too peppery and not too strong either. It's almost a perfect cigar. The only thing I don't like, which is all but meaningless, is the band. It's too big and it just looks so clunky. Lol.

The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro E656 is a full Nicaraguan Cigar from the renowned Perdomo Brand. This Cigar was made to commemorate Nick Perdomo's 20 years in the tobacco industry. The Cold Draw offers me notes of Cinnanom and Chocolate with strong bits of leather. This Cigar starts off strong with its blend of flavors with notes of cedar, hay, and cocoa, and the Nicaragua Maduro wrapper seems to be just perfect for it. Nearing the middle of the cigar gets a bit creamier and notes of coffee start emerging, but strong amounts of cedar are still there. As the cigar reaches the final third it stays consistent with notes of Espresso, Leather, and subtle hints of cocoa. There is just the right amount of pepper throughout the cigar that definitely keeps me satisfied. Definitely one of Perdomo's finest in my opinion, a strong cigar from the start. Without a doubt a full body cigar, which I would pair with a good scotch.

Excellent cigar! Constructed meticulously and no burn issues. Flavorful but not a full bold class ofcigar, a little mild, but great quality. I taste peat, cedar, blackberries and with no bitterness when down to the last of the cigar. Easily in the 88-90 range! Will buy more!

Bought 3 and this cigar has been on my Try-list for some time. Overall excellent cigar, two re-lights to correct the burn, no big deal. Beautiful rich cigar with a classy roasted flavor, a little cedar, earth, and nutty and not quite full flavored but a very enjoyable cigar overall. Impeccable construction and a great pre-light smell. Expertly rolled and smoke flow was abundant. Can’t rate Aroma as I taste rather than smell a cigar. I think it is a solid 88-90 rating and I will buy more.

A dark, rugged and oil looking cigar; something I look for in a Maduro. The scent is earthy and a hint of pine. Pre-draw had a slightly toasted cedar wood and honey. The first draw was amazing and there are not that many cigars like. Very toasty/spicy with a sweet after taste that's just forgiving. Towards the middle to end the flavors become more rich and open. Definitely for the Maduro smoker who is looking for more. Cheers to another 20 years for Nick Jr. Perdomo and his art of blending!
