The Esteban Carreras Chupacabra Gorditos got off to a slightly tight start, likely due to the closed foot, but it soon opened up to deliver plenty of smoke and a good, even burn. The only construction issue was a rather fragile wrapper that developed a few cracks along the way.
Flavor-wise, it was an enjoyable smoke with no harshness from start to finish. That said, for the price I was hoping for a bit more complexity and intensity. I really liked the Gordito vitola, but while this one won't earn a permanent place in my humidor, it's certainly a cigar I'd be happy to smoke again.
