This is a steal! Medium to full and smooth. Great draw and burn. Sumatran wrapper comes though with cedar and cocoa. Better than sticks 3 times this price! I have been impressed by Hoyo. AJ does it again with a great blend. Ordering a box or 2. I want these to spend some time in the humidor.

Normally love AJ blends but don't prefer Sumatra wrappers and really did not like this blend. Will not revisit. While more expensive, when in the mood for next Sumatra, will go back to Aksum Claro

Presentation alone, is solid - covered in bands: two primary, a cedar sleeve and a foot all on a $8 stick?! Stellar. The wrapper leaf underneath is tight, even, oily and minimal veins - 5 Stars.
Vcut. Dry draw is cacao. Lit up and off to the races. The flavors are creamy with a bitter finish, reminds me of a dark chocolate covered espresso bean. Draw has a pleasant constriction with decent smoke output. Burn is even and tight...I mean it is an AJ Fernandez stick..high expectations going in.
Second third. Cedar came out to play in the profile, and became a primary component. There's malt, an underlying sweetness and still an oily roast coffee in the finish. Purged on ash.
Homestretch. Caramelized sweetness reminiscent of bourbon. The flavors develop, and the bitter edges are rounded. Burn line remains crisp. Main band took a hunk of wrapper with it which was unfortunate. Dinged the appearance a star because the other categories didn't make sense, and it altered the experience.
Overall it's a good smoke, 4s across the board in the end. The flavors develop nicely. It's a steal at this price point. Would pick up again but don't plan to stock a ton on hand. Spent an hour with it.

I smoked the media noche last time and I like this vitola even better as it throws slightly more emphasis on the wrapper and binder. Excellent full smoky draw and nice consistent burn with plenty of cream and spice with each puff. My new favorite Hoyo.
