Murcielago

Handmade in Nicaragua with Mexican San Andres wrapper and Nicaraguan tobaccos, Murcielago cigars first appeared in 2009 and quickly became very popular. After a couple of years hiatus while Erik Espinosa, the brand owner, restructured his company and worked on establishing his own cigar factory in Nicaragua (La Zona), Espinosa Cigars announces that "the bat is back". Murcielago means bat in Spanish, and the cigar is named after the bats Erik encountered while visiting a cave in Mexico. The blend has been reverse engineered by Espinosa and relaunched in 2015.

About: Murcielago La Lune 6"1/2 * 54
This beautiful dark box pressed cigar fits its look with the "bat"theme label on the front. This cigar has a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper which usually leads to a flavorful cigar accompanied by Nicaraguan filler. Upon first lighting, notes of nuts, chocolate, leather and a little spice pop up. It slowly transitions into creamy cocoa and cedar. Into the second third, the creaminess and sweetnes amp up, losing most of the cedar notes. Cocoa and coffee notes are apparent as a creaminess sets in along with espresso and dark chocolate. Into the last third, same notes but pepper made its appearance til the end. Overall a very , very enjoyable , smooth smoke. No relighting necessary and great draw and ash. Highly recommended!!

I'm so glad to see the Murcielago back. Still has that great flavor like the original blend. Definitely would recommend this smoke to anyone who like a flavorful cigar.
About: Murcielago Nocturne 5"1/2 * 56
This one was suggested by the phone operator when I was placing an order. Great suggestion. The cigar came apart a bit where I cut, but other than that a very nice cigar.
