The Tatuaje Escasos is a limited-release, mild cigar that is handmade at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua. Its Nicaraguan binder and filler are covered by a natural Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The Escasos has a peppery, nutty, toasty, and woodsy flavor profile. Tatuaje Cigars owner Peter Johnson named each size in the Escasos brand using the letters that make up the word “Hunter”, his dog’s name.

I really wanted to love this cigar. The slimmer 49 ring gauge and 7" length were right up my alley. The taste was enjoyable. The burn ok, but the draw was mostly inconsistent especially in the first half of the cigar when it finally opened up a bit after that, but I came away a bit disappointed. I'd bought several of these, so it wasn't like I just got a bad one, as they all were pretty much the same. If the draw had been better, this would be a really good cigar, as the taste was enjoyable.
Nutty
Nutty, woody, light swetness, medium pepper in the beginning. A big bulge about halfway through with wrapper tearing, but corrected itself. Great cigar outside of the construction issue.

An excellent experience
An excellent experience; I consider this one of the best cigars in the Tatuaje.
Love smoking these in morning, light but still have enough flavor to keep it interesting. Starts off sharp spice and bready but calms down after first quarter inch. Burn line was good. I smoked it to band no issues, bought a box.
For being my first time smoking this cigar I enjoyed it enough to seek it out again.
Well-balanced and flavorful, with cedar, earth, and a touch of pepper. Shows a classic Cuban-style profile, with elegant spice, smooth transitions, and excellent construction.
A mild cigar with a warm nutty and woody profile accented with not so subtle notes of spice and a peppery retro-hale.
