Room 101 Johnny Tobacconaut

Even though the marketing suggests the tobacco was harvested in outer space and brought back by Johnny Tobacconaut, the cigar is made by Davidoff in Honduras with Nicaraguan tobacco. A limited production medium bodied cigar that was launched by Matt Booth of Room 101 in 2015.

First off, I can't imagine a better presentation for a Perfecto than this one. Absolutely perfect. Perfectos in my opinion, are obnoxious cigars to store in one's humidor - even when you flip every other one. They stack terribly. Enter Room 101 Johnny Tobacconaut Fileroid who nailed it. The dry draw was definitely spicy. You hear that a lot in professional reviews. I'm talking it actually tasted like a spice. Almost sweet like nutmeg. Really gets you excited for the main event. As far as tastes goes, it's mellow with a spectacular flavor. It also burned and produced a ton of smoke. I never had to correct the burn and the draw was perfect. By the nub, I thought it lost a little of the magic but not enough to complain about. My biggest objection to this cigar is the cost. I don't mind spending 12 dollars for a cigar, but it's small and not at the Opus X level of quality, so I don't think it warrants a 12 dollar price tag. I can see 7 dollars as its perfect price point. Anyway It's the best Room 101 I've had. I'm not normally a fan of their cigars having tried a couple, but the presentation hooked me and the taste reeled me in. I will probably be picking up more sticks in the future.
