The Room 101 Anniversary cigar was created to celebrate the founding of this boutique premium cigar brand. Founded in 2003, by Matt Booth, a former U.S. Marine and jeweler, Room 101 started out as a small little-known brand with a cult-like following that quickly sky-rocketed to rock star status. To celebrate its founding, Room 101 had none other than AJ Fernandez blend and make this flavorful and potent commemorative stick. The Room 101 Anniversary cigar is hand crafted at the Tabacalera Fernandez Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The Room101 Anniversary Humidor is a limited-edition collector’s piece that brings together six years of the brand’s most celebrated blends, featuring 138 cigars in total: 23 cigars from each anniversary release, of which 20 are toros (6x52) and 3 are rare 7x38 culebras. Dalton Hopkins How is the seal on this? I got the plasencia ometepe humidor and its seal is not good and doesn't function as a humidor so I just wanna see how this is holding humidity

I have smoked all three of the Anniversary series of this cigar. In truth the 13th is stellar ( remember our palates are individual). Since the 13th is no longer available , you will find great pleasure in the 10th. It is equal to the task. Great wrapper, easy, but not to tight or draw. Smoke volume is more than adaquate. Great change up, pleasant notes ( personal ) and a easy 1.5+ smoke. Most enjoyable and I encourage you to try it. Enjoy!

WOW, what a smoke. I am 79 and smoking cigars 25 plus years. I started with $4 sticks looking for a gem and have smoked my way into the better things in life. The 13th Anni is a great stick if you enjoy maduro, a very reasonable body, caramel and nuts, gentle spice. The draw, burn were wonderful and I was sitting outside in 25 degree weather with a stiff north wind. Not a problem, just enjoyment. I compare this to a Padron "64 if you care for them. To be honest, I first ordered 5 and then immediately ordered 5 more so I had some stock. Heck of a smoke and I hope you will enjoy it as much.

I am a regular customer of Neptune Cigars. I sometimes order the staff recommendations as I did with he Room 101 10th Anniversary. It is a well constructed cigar, it hade a good draw but not a perfect burn. It has a very good aroma and nice taste,cocoa, leather and cedar taste. Very pleased with this smoke and will but it again. I seldom have a bad cigar as recommended by staff and recommend the medium to full cigar to others looking for a good smoke.

As I sit here and write my final review of this year, I am very excited to share with you this special 10th Anniversary Room 101 cigar by Matt Booth! Not much information is disclosed about the tobaccos used in this special edition, but the wrapper is a Nicaraguan Rosado. Made in one size only -- 6x52 -- this cigar was made in Nicaragua at the factory of A.J. Fernandez. Only 500 boxes of 20 were released. This special 10th anniversary cigar marked Matt Booth's 10 years in the industry! Upon first light, some notes of spice and pepper are upfront, slowly accompanied by a little sweetness. Nice combo to start with. Into the second third, cocoa notes along with earthiness are spot on, with spice and pepper still lingering. Construction is perfect at this point-- the draw was a bit tight at the beginning, but has opened up nicely. Into the final third, spice is still around, along with cocoa and nutiness. The cigar overall had nice complexity-- a solid medium plus in strength. It really was a pleasure to smoke this Room 101 10th anniversary, as I have always been a huge fan of Matt Booth!! Matt Booth wanted to make something special to mark the occasion and he definitely delivers with this really delicious cigar. This is a great combination of loads of flavor and good complexity that keeps you coming back for more. Easily a box purchase. I could smoke these every day.
