Illusione Cigars has brought back the OneOff and this time it’s here to stay. Originally made by Andrea Molinari, the OneOff rapidly became a cult classic in the early 21st century for being a cigar that was true to its Cuban roots at a time when Cubans were being regarded as lacking in quality. Now a part of the Illusione line of cigars, the OneOff is made in Nicaragua, and features a Honduran wrapper with a Nicaragua binder and filler.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.
Wrapper
Honduran
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Honduran cigar wrapper has the reputation of great quality, with wrapper leaf being grown in the Jamastran, Talanga and San Agustin valleys. Some of the wrappers being grown in Honduras include Corojo, Honduran Claro, Honduran Criollo, Honduran Jamastran Viso Rosado, Honduran San Agustin Havana Seed and San Agustin Ligero.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Anonymous I just got a few of the +53’s. How much age is on them because it looks like a little yellowing the cellophane???:)

Overall a flawed but tasty and worthwhile cigar. Had to fight a canoe in the beginning but the burn did even out by the halfway point. Nice draw with the cocoa cinnamon and spice notes as advertised. Did burn a bit hot at the end but a very flavorful smoke overall.

As a budding Aganorsa fan I decided to make the splurge on this $30 cigar for my bday and am not disappointed. Very attractive and solidly constructed and the taste and aroma is amazing. The draw was firm and at times got tight but a little massaging did the trick. Lasted a good hour n half and the burn was mostly consistent. Very floral aroma and woodsy n slightly spicy on the palette. Worth a try as a special occasion cigar.

A superbly blended cigar with little known about it. A cult cigar within a cult brand. It burns well, is consistent, with minimal relites needed. Reminiscent of old day Cuban tobaccos, this cigar is a definite must try. A special occasion cigar due to its price.

Is this cigar worth the hype. having only tried the robusto I can say yes. these were all the rage when they first came out way back, and are even more so today. perfect draw. just the right size cigar and a unique rich perfectly balanced profile with notes of cacao, sweet earthy nutiness and baking spice on the retrohale. highly highly recommended. glad neptune is stocking these

Interesting flavor profile, some slight citrus with a dark chocolate or cocoa that has some cinnamon, was a little surprised the sweetness to this, does drop in strength at the midpoint a little bit and settles down, but is firmly medium strength. The burn line needed several touchups including one time when it went out, and it burned very slow. There some bitterness to the profile at times. I am a little disappointed in the finish on this cigar, was expecting somewhat more.

The Illusione OneOff is a beautifully wrapped cigar, the Honduran wrapper is properly de-veined and is light brown almost like a light caramel. Looking at the band all I can think of are hippies as it has a distinguished white peace symbol over an orange background, it pleasantly contrasts with the wrapper. On the dry drag of the cigar I got notes of cedar and pepper hinting at the most profound characteristics of this roll. The burn for the cigar was excellent as I did not have to relight nor fix any uneven burn lines. The most prominent notes in the cigar were oak and pepper. The oak was hinted with some cedar and a light cream while the pepper was everywhere. Definitely a peppery cigar, the finish of this stogie was quite bold detonating with pepper leaving the oak and cream there just to alleviate your palate. Well worth its sticker price, one wonders if he/she should grab another!

Just a beautifully Rich well balanced and flavorful cigar. I don’t know that they’ll come back around so I would grab a box in whatever size you can find it. I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed and it’s a great cigar to share with your friends and family; regardless of the level of experience I believe they will appreciate this cigar.
