For the wrapper of La Riqueza, they chose a Connecticut Broadleaf, and this selection is intriguing to say the least. More commonly used as a binder due to its rugged appearance, what this leaf lacks in aesthetics it more than makes up for in flavor. Natural sweetness mixed with subtle hints of pepper and cocoa are apparent from the initial light.

This is a well balanced smoke right here. This one actually really surprised me for the price. Lovely notes of cedar, leather and some cocoa with a great spice note on the retrohale. I will be getting a box or two of these.
